I feel like Rap Critic bashes on 50 way too much. His hits are for the most part 2-3/5. But he has some good gems amongst it all. Patiently Waiting, Many Men, Changes, I'm the Man, Hustler's Ambition, Gotta Make it to Heaven etc. I also feel like he underplays some of the average songs. In Da Club, whilst it isn't technical, has some of the most recognizable lyrics today, along with one of the easiest to remember beats. When it comes to bad rappers, he gives them a lot of flak, but I feel like that's his only mode. He finds it much easier to pick holes in songs, even the ones he rates highly, than to see the good parts. All it takes is one bad line to ruin a song apparently, and he'l bring it up, again and again and again. As soon as the Game started rapping, he was going on about how it was such a typical West Coast verse, and then missed some of the better lines, whilst questioning the structure of the song, which brought 50 back for 4 bars, which to me, sounded like a nice transition. If you haven't guessed it, I'm criticizing the Rap Critic. Overall, I rate him a 3/5. i feel like he critiques a lot of the bigger hits, bringing more attention to a lot of bad songs, whilst ignoring other artists who produce good music. And when a bad artist makes a good song, he always has to draw back to the rest of the songs as though he is judging more than just the one song. Every now and then, he has a great review, but those are often in the shadows of the "okay" reviews.
@zome6318 жыл бұрын
I guess there are rappers that SHOULDNT be smart with their lyrics. It's just like Young Thug reviews where Rap Critic is talking alot of bad things about the lyrics. Like what, trap music? Lyrics? This is music for teenagers and weed rollers, not those who want some story telling, what's the point to criticize this? Same with the 50 Cent, he mostly famous for his bangers, hit songs like = nice vocal parts, dope beat from Dre = profit, and that's all. Why must rapper care about some sense in his lyrics if his potentional listener don't pay much attention to the lyrics too?
