Great reaction! You definitely noticed a lot of the details in there, I know this track can be kind of overwhelming, and you're right it's like a lot of different ideas combined into one song. Good comparison about the Tim Burton movie with that interlude in there, it's really haunting and creepy, very cool! The lead singer is Jari. Both the bassist (Jukka) and drummer (Kai) are now in Nightwish. From this same studio session there are also videos up here for their songs "Time" and "Land of Snow and Sorrow" - both are a little slower, I really like them all.

So, the bassist and the drummer are now in Nightwish...lead singer's name is Jari, and "fun" story about him, he only has one and a half lungs.

Greetings from Helsinki, Finland. Hometown of Wintersun. Thx a good reaction video. It is always nice to see how rap music fans can respect metal musicians skills. Band like a Wintersun is a very hard to play and sing. This Wintersun video drummer Kai "human metronome" Hahto and bassist Jukka Koskinen actually play now in Nightwish. 😊🤘

Wintersun is Finnish metal band from Helsinki Finland. Jari Mäenpää is mastermind behind the band and Wintersun started as his solo project. He composes and is lyricist in all the songs. Other wizards are Teemu Mäntysaari (guitar, backing vocals), Jukka Koskinen (bass, backing vocals) and human metronome Kai Hahto (drums). There are two more songs from same rehearsals Time and Land of Snow and Sorrow. Please 🙏🏼 check them out 😎 and peace ✌🏼

Great reaction to another awesome Finnish band. It must be something about the long winter nights...The lyrics are deep and have a lot of meaning when you look at them, telling the story of A Warrior fighting against the darkness, wondering if all he has done is for nothing, but willing to continue to fight as long as he is able. I am not a fan of harsh vocals, but Jari Mäenpää mixes the clean and harsh styles in a way that adds to the theme of the song. And you get a masterclass in drumming from Kai Hahto (now of Nightwish). Thanks for sharing your thoughts, keep rocking.

Lots of metal heads like rap too though. I was primarily a metal head for years but there’s a lot of rap and hip hop artists I love now too. Funk is another genre I’ve really learned to love. Most of my favorite rap artists tend to be exempt from the mainstream though. Sun Rise Above, Blue Scholars, Bambu, Marcel Cartier, Menterojas, and Immortal Technique to name a few of my faves. My favorite mainstream rapper is probably Nas.
