Let’s get one thing straight - if you want to catch more fish, keeping your tackle organized is critical. In the following video, professional angler JP DeRose explains the features and benefits of Rapala’s RapStack Tackle Trays, a collection of seven different storage boxes available in standard 3600 and 3700 sizes, two different depth options and three internal configurations.

To begin, DeRose explains RapStack Tackle Trays are super durable. These storage boxes are made of a highly rigid, cold and heat resistant material, which means they won’t crack or warp, even when exposed to extreme temperatures. A ridged lid design also prevents deformation when storing heavier contents in a tray.
The RapStack Tackle Tray’s customizable divider system makes it easy for anglers to tailor the interior layout and, thus, store a variety of differently sized hard-baits, soft-baits and terminal tackle. Each tray comes with ample rigid dividers, which are thicker than other brands and individually separated, so you can start organizing tackle immediately without needing to cut tabs. Another key feature is dividers fit to the height of the lid, locking tackle in place and preventing contents from spilling from one section into another should the tray get flipped over.
As DeRose points out in the video, although the cases may appear slightly dark and opaque, don’t be fooled. RapStack Tackle Trays are still see-through and designed to make it easy for anglers to find what they’re looking for quickly. The tinted plastic’s purpose is protecting tray contents from harsh UV exposure. Each tray comes with two rewritable labels to make it easy to catalogue your collection.
He then explains the benefits of the Quick Latch System and how easy it is to open with just one hand. This latch system is extremely secure and durable, and won’t open if the box is accidentally dropped or gets banged around in a boat compartment during a rough ride. The latch’s finger recess also makes the tray easy to carry. Another standout feature is the special hinge design lets you use the open lid as a workstation without it disconnecting.
Designed with angler organization and efficiency in mind, RapStack Tackle Trays are stackable in either horizontal or vertical configurations. This gives anglers maximum flexibility when it comes to storing multiple trays. Better still, these trays have integrated feet for holding boxes together and organized, but also for preventing trays from sliding around in your boat, vehicle or garage.
To wrap-up the video, DeRose reviews each of the different RapStack Tackle Tray models, commenting on the applications of the 3600 and 3700 sizes, two different depth options and three internal configurations. The regular divider system provides four rows for regular baits and terminal tackle, while the large divider system offers two rows for larger lures and accessories. The open-style boxes are great for storing various items, such as larger lures, accessories and soft-plastic bags. The Half Tray models allow organization of specialty items such as larger pike and musky lures, or Dipsy Divers and Jets. My other half hates me watching videos like this. She knows for a fact that there will be another parcel delivery coming to the door from Rapala 🤣🤣🤣…. Needs to be waterproof, floating and have some kind of attachment points for lanyards then maybe it would work for saltwater kayak and wade fishing.
