I really like the trebles on the OG, the tips roll in just barely but that has allowed me to run it through brush in the river and really keep it clean with all the old leaves and other junk on bottom.

I learned a lot about differences in line with this one and how it affects your depth, and action of a bait. I also learned why I need that "lowrance active target"... now to convince the wife...LOL!!!

I've only ever been a bank angler (cant wait to get a kayak and or a boat) because I've only been catfishing 90% of my life and I only been addicted to bass fishing for 2 years. But I've never seen what electronics really look like. I've seen a couple videos where you see the rainbow color lookin stuff when people try to net a bunch of bait fish. Chaser is right. For some reason when you screen record it has way more interference. On the lake I really don’t even notice it anymore. The 360 seems to interfere with it bad at times it’s if I turn it off and put my other units on standby it’s almost non existent. Over all I’m really happy with it. I can see a couple things garmin LS is better at but also lowrance has several as well that it beats garmin in.

Question for you Mr. Wheeler, can you do the same thing w mono as floro as far as changing line size to change depth and action of a bait?

Yes you can i run mono and when im needing to go shallow ill up my line to 17lb alot to get me alil shallower you can also retrieve with rod tip up higher which will also get you a few inches shallower

Trying so hard to justify getting forward facing sonar! I fish in Louisiana, and won't have my boat in much more than 8 ft of water. How does Active target or livescope do in shallower water, say around 3-6 ft?

MS... Everyone has an opinion, so take mine with a grain of salt. This is year three with Livescope and year two of Livescope Perspective mode. Perspective SHINES in shallow water. It's a tool that often contributes greatly to the fun I have on the water. There is a fair amount of representative video on YT that serves as a pretty good test drive. Tight lines.

You should've put your rod tip in the water every cast. You can change the depth several feet up or down just with your rod positioning
