Yes! The English Opening 1. c4 e5 is like an inverse Sicilian with the white pieces having one extra tempo compared to the normal Sicilian Defense.

Yeah nowadays almost nobody tips their King when resigning. Usually when somebody is losing they just stop the clock to show that they will no longer fight in this game.

1) I notice in the video that your opponent did not tip his king when he resigned. Has that gone out of style? 2) What do you think your opponent's motivation behind g2-g3 was? There is no threat (..Bh3 Kh1) and that move weakened a large cluster of squares that you invaded quite nicely. A neat game and video.

i think because he wanted to guard f3. if Ng2 black can win the exchange anyway with Nf3 and white has to take on f3 because Qh6 is dangerous..then exf3 can force a queenless exchange-up ending if she felt like it.
