July commitments don’t mean much-especially with the Napier situation. If Billy can get wins, the Gators will be flipping recruits like IHOP flips pancakes. Another losing season, and this kid never wears a Gator uniform.

Let’s see….Vernell Brown III gives a pledge to Florida. He’s a third generation legacy. Is Napier due for praise for that? When Brown III sticks to his pledge after Napier’s fired, which has to happen after a third straight losing record, it might dawn on you that Napier had little to do with him Compton UF.

If we can't get more highly rated 4 stars or 5 stars, wait and get good players we need. from the portal like we did this year. I like portal players that have proven themselves at the college level, half of the 5 stars can't cut it in college anyway. We recently had a 5 star QB and 2 5 star running backs that couldn't get it done and left

I think getting Brown III is huge. But, even with his commitment, it’s not a lock he enrolls at UF. When UF has another losing season, which is more of a certainty than Brown’s commitment today, will he still come to UF. Napier and his staff will be history. I also think FSU’s a much, much stronger competitor than Albiverdi thinks. Alberti isn’t even smart enough to know that Ratliff is not the main reason FSU is still an option. Tramell Jones Jr is the reason. Brown and him are very close. I also think it’s ludicrous to chirp about Joshua Moore. He’s made it very clear that how UF does on the field this season is very important to him. He’s NOT going to enroll at UF! By October he’ll be looking for another school and hoping there’s still a space for him. Brown may stick because of his deep Florida ties, but Moore will not.

That would be very, very stupid. You can be penny wise but pound foolish. It will costUF a lot more than Napier’s buyout. If UF retains a coach that has only had a losing record for the three years he’s been there, that sends a message. The message being that Florida is no longer a football school. It’s just another also-ran who’s intent with being bad or mediocre. You think recruiting is bad now…you ain’t seen nothing yet if “Sun Belt” Billy’s allowed to spew his B.S. another year. You have to credit FSU. When they realized they had made a mistake hiring Willie Taggart, they weren’t worried about their ego and admitted they screwed up. I have a sneaky feeling that the administration at UF is too arrogant to admit they screwed up. That arrogance is just going to make it even longer before UF’s relevant again. It’s been fifteen years and counting….
