I had strep a ton of times and the strep test was wrong 8 times in a row over the course of a couple years. Once’s they grew it on a culture plate then they found out I really did have strep lol

I’ve had two false negatives now. Currently dealing with strep and the nurse refused to do an examination or throat culture insisting it was just allergies. I legit have incredibly inflamed tonsils and white patching. Getting a second opinion.

That’s bc you didn’t have type a or b. That’s all the rapid tests for bc these are the strains that can turn dangerous. At most places it’s protocol that when a person clearly has a strep-y looking throat and the rapid is negative what we do is send out for culture/sensitivity. You just went to some really crappy clinics.

​@@NewWorldman64Culture generally takes away eek or 10 days to come back, so Doc is suspicious of strep he will prescribe antibiotics without waiting for Culture results.

not that it matters, but the test strip should be out of the tube already unless you risk cross contamination! (d/t not changing gloves)

Really wonder why exactly they never just came out and told all that any form of swabbing is simply removal of "sugar" build up, which is what Causes majority of every heath issue. also that whenever any area of body is harmed can simply look near where experiencing issues and see a swollen darken vein, meaning a clot occurred
