Rapido Titfield Thunderbolt. What a little beauty!

I’ve been a fan of the film since I saw it on an old VHS growing up. It lives in my head rent free as it’s quotable, funny, and memorable. I would love to get this train pack, but I’d have to find it for a reasonable discount.

With CAREFUL application of presure on the roof of the Ex-GWR 20t Toad brakek van, it will fit Flush! I have the Rapido GWR verion of it and I managed to get the roof back in place with no gaps. But do be careful!

I got the deluxe train pack too but was a bit disappointed that it didn't include the Bedford OB coach, Wisbech and Upwell coach, Dan's steam roller and the 14xx 1401. I feel that Rapido's train pack only goes half way for the film isn't just about Lion but 1401 as well. The red paint on Lion looks to be a bit too much on the pink side. Unlike their 15xx Lion runs very well. The cover of the Titfield Thunderbolt book where they're getting Thunderbolt out of the museum only the lions the remain of that real building in London the building itself having been demolished years ago. Dan's coach doesn't have a operating lowering chimney on the model like it did in the film. The radio on the dresser wouldn't have been a transistor radio but valve radio.

Excellent! Mine arrived yesterday. Couldn't be more pleased. I too was searching out hanging baskets for my Titfield station. Found some Tasma Scenics ones on Hattons. No idea how good they will be but ordered and we'll see... :)

I haven't seen that set but have seen the 1980s condition Lion which looked terrific. We don't get to see 'all the things" here in Australia. I can't buy one, Accurascale got all my new loco money this year. 😊
