This is a song that’s been in several movies, they are very protective of their music. You’d love seeing the greatest drummer John Bonham’s 15 to 20 minute solo. Live at Royal Albert Hall (1970). That live gives the best views of him playing, he played that solo over 200 times, at some point of a 3 to 4 hour nonstop concert. Dazed & confused has some great drumming as does Achilles Last Stand. Actually Bonham’s drumming is very prominent in the majority of their songs. They do a variety of genres Rock Blues Funk Folk Reggae Prog & anything else. Yes many of their greatest songs are longer, & amazing. The Immigrant Song was written after they toured Scandinavia, & became interested in the Viking invasions, including of England. It was kind of meant as a joke, but fans loved it, it was an opening song for many concert. Fool In The Rain, shows Bonham’s great shuffle drumming. I’m glad after your disappointment of their song Gallows Pole, you gave them another chance. Their most famous song, is Stairway To Heaven it’s considered the greatest rock song of all time. It’s been requested more then any other song, & has ranked number one, in classic rock music for over 50 years. That’s voted on by listeners, for top 400 & 500 lists. If it dropped from number one, it’s only been to number two. They have several masterpieces, Kashmir The Rain Song Achilles Last Stand Since I’ve Been Loving You Tea For One, I’m sure I’ve missed a few. Their live performances are excellent, especially anything from Madison Square Gardens (1973). Since I’ve Been Loving you live at MSG, is an amazing original Blues Rock song by them. Their other mind blowing live is, at Earls Court the May 25,1975 version of In My Time Of Dying, an old Blues or Gospel song done to perfection.
