This song was written when Plant & Page drove through the Sahara Desert on their way to a music festival. Their experience meeting the people along the way, the people were living in like another time. They couldn’t understand each other’s language, but the music brought them together. It really has nothing to do with Kashmir, I think the name just fit better. Plant fell in love with Morocco, & still visits there often. Their trip through the desert seemed endless, & it all looked the same, & fascinating. This is the song all four band members were most proud of, the timing & layers make it a masterpiece. Page & Plant toured together in the 90’s using musicians from those regions. This is one reason they are the greatest band ever. 20 million ticket requests for the 20,000 seats at this concert. Delve even deeper in to Led Zeppelin, your mind will be blown away. Thank you for your reaction.

I was blessed, saw Led Zeppelin live in 1971, an unforgettable experience. I am considered a senior citizen nowadays, lol, but little do people know who see me with gray hair and aching bones behind a shopping cart at the store, that their music is in my heart, soul and bones. Note for John Paul Jones (the person they always leave out when talking of the band) he not only plays bass, he is on dual keyboards on this piece AND he is their arranger as well so a lot of the composed sound comes from his keeping the beat moving as well as adding the extra notes to fill in the song.

"Come with Me" is a song recorded by the American rapper Puff Daddy, featuring English guitarist Jimmy Page, from the soundtrack to the 1998 film, Godzilla. The song samples the 1975 Led Zeppelin song "Kashmir". Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page and producer Tom Morello also supplied live guitar parts, with Morello also playing bass on the song. The song also features heavy orchestral elements.

The song was originally called "Driving to Morocco" and, because the track runs for more than 8 minutes, some radio stations were reluctant to play it, but changed their tune once the music became so successful. The lyrics were written by Plant in 1973 immediately after Led Zeppelin's 1973 US tour. None of the group members had visited Kashmir. Instead, Plant was inspired during a drive through a desolate desert area of southern Morocco. So while the song is called "Kashmir," it's actually about a journey, which at the time was in Morocco, with the final destination of that journey being Kashmir. Peace out.

Hey BP, remember when you were talking about time signatures, especially in the Chad Smith Drumeo when he figured out The Kill was in 3 time? Kashmir is a great song with multiple time signatures. The drums are in 4/4. 4 beats to a bar, 4 bars to a line. The guitars are in 3/4. One less note per bar. The drums and guitar only line up every 12th - which is what gives this song its amazing groove.

LED ZEPPELIN! KASHMIR! Yes yes yes whooooaaaaaa!!! This is the song that the band would like to be remembered by. I think it is a masterpiece. They have many. Led Zeppelin is so diverse in their music that you can’t pigeonhole them by listening to only a few songs. Kashmir is from their 5th studio album Physical Graffiti. 1975 release date. The reason you know that riff is because Diddy, them Puff Daddy, used it in his song Come With Me, featured in the soundtrack of the movie Godzilla. Jimmy Page consented for the song to be used but, he had to have a lot of artistic control. Jimmy also played lead guitar in the song. Jimmy Page is the founder of Led Zeppelin, and is the keeper of the flame. Nobody, but nobody, can use Led Zeppelin music in any way, shape, or form without Jimmy saying yes. With Led Zeppelin, sometimes the meaning is in your face, like Whole Lotta Love. Most of the time it is to be interpreted by each listener. Their music is emotional, and hits the soul. There is so much to say about Led Zeppelin. Short version: Best Ever Rock Band. Best guitarist, best drummer, best bass/keyboards, best vocalist. I’ve been a fan since 1969 with the release of Led Zeppelin I. I am still listening to their music every day, all these decades later.

The song is about a trip Plant and Page took to the Middle East and they were driving for miles on a road with a sandy and desolate landscape but, it was so awe inspiring to them they wrote the song. They were not in Kashmir but, liked the sound of the name for the song. Led Zeppelin does a lot of diverse music so if you are not crazy about one you go and listen to another. It is hard to pin down. your taste to some degree so I don't think I can recommend. You just have to try the songs and see. There are a lot of videos of the Celebration Day - 2007 - concert. Zeppelin members were around 60 in this concert and yet can still run rings around any other band.

Now THIS is Led Zep! 👍👍The previous songs you reacted to were arguably among Led Zep's most commercial. I recommend listening to their Physical Graffiti or The Song Remains the Same LP's.

There's a tribute band that blows me away how good of a tribute they are to Led Zeppelin. The hook is that it's an all girl band, they go by the name of Zepparella. I love them. They are HOT.

This song is just EPIC, there's no other way to describe it! When he is singing ..."and my eyes fill with sand.... " you can just picture him standing on a desert sand dune with the wind swirling round, just awesome 😎👍

The one movie I can say is Fast Times at Ridgemont High, it's played in the car during Stacy & Ratner's date. What makes the studio version so unique is Jimmy Page played the guitar with a bow, creating a totally different sound from anything out there (the bowing is more like what the keyboard is playing). There is so much zeppelin music. You've mostly been listening to stuff off Led Zeppelin 4 (ZOSO), but this is off their 6th album Physical Grafitti.

Clearance Clearwater Revival has a song called Fortunate Son. 😎. It'll remind you of this Led Zeppelin. Especially since you have a new son. 🐣 It's the song about him growing up in the '70s with you, the cool, Daddy. Flashback Time!!!🤯 for me... I was 6 years old and my brother was 8 years older than me. I found pot in my brother's bedroom, because I sneaked around, 😅... good brother😶‍🌫️. Unfortunately, I had hyperventilated turning my brother in to my freaked out mom and dad. I thought it was going to kill Mike.😂 I followed my mom and dad up to my brother's bedroom and THIS song was playing in his room for his moment of Doom. The moment he discovered a bad little brother that turned him in for something REALLY dumb. It was a few years before he trusted me again. Later of course we laughed as we smoked and our older ages together. Now we're old men. 😂 You will love "Fortunate Son". I have officially and legally not made any type of request or violated the rules of requests. ❤🥰 It just reminded me that you like CCR and Led. So cool.

I love this band so much and would have loved to see them in concert. Another favorite song ever is The Song Remains the Same/Rain Song as well as Since I've Been Loving You and also Thank You song and of course Stairway to Heaven!!! Thanks BP!!

What never ceases to amaze me is that the singer plays no instruments, thier sound is from 3 guys. The drums are outstanding, the guitar is outstanding and anything else you hear is from John Paul Jones, the one man orchestra

These guys are older here but still sounds good and Jimmy Page is an amazing guitarist not to mention the fact that Jason is playing the drums and is the son of John Bonham and not to mention John Paul Jones on keyboards 🎹 - This is the album 💿 I was hiding from my parents in my room and playing low low low so they couldn’t hear it thru the walls. Hahaha 😂 These guys are iconic Love from Lisa a lyme warrior 🦠💚 Oh not to mention how well Robert Plant sounds so good 😊 We never knew what they said either lol 😂 We just loved the rhythm of the music and also a good suggestion is to watch Jimmy Page play guitar with a bow - Can’t remember which song 🎶 sorry 😣- getting older myself plus lyme disease 🦠 brain 🧠 or lack there of. Also I think Robert Plant liked this one himself more than stairway

Got some good information from you. How can we encourage Black Pegasus to revisit CCR and experience Fortunate Son... Without violating the request rules? I think it's meant to be especially after Led. I commented on how it was a memorable moment in '69. I'm glad my big brother was a stoner. 😅
