LP is my greatest discovery of the century on youtube. It suddenly popped up on a recommendation and I listened and instantly fell in love with her voice. somehow I immediately knew she was a woman from her looks alone. but who cares right, I love the song and the lyrics. it's like finding the vocal tone I've been looking for. I live in Indonesia and if there was no youtube I don't think I would have found her music. love love her and her music.

I believe LP (Laura Pergolizzi) trained in opera. She has written songs for so many including Cher, Rihanna, Céline Dion and Christina Aguilera! Very talented writer and singer. Peace.

Just want to make sure we are clear that sexual orientation and gender identity are not the same thing. LP is non binary/gender fluid and their sexual orientation is lesbian. LP uses she/they pronouns. Hope that helps! ❤

LP is an American singer-songwriter and musician from New York. Official pronouns they/them. LP wrot songs for the biggest artists, their writing is very poetic. They're huge everywhere but for some reason they're less famous in the US. And indeed, their voice is very unique and distinctive and their vocal range is insane, they're magical live! LP is classically trained and their mother was an opera singer. I hope you do more LP reactions, whatever you choose will be awesome, you won't be disappointed.

At that same venue you need to hear her sing "Muddy Waters", she is just stunning. Her voice is so unique gives me chills. Also official music video for "When we're high" that one is entertaining. This song literally is my youth, I was 18/19 when this song came out. Now 27. It took me back to my college years. I was obsessed with this song then I listened her couple other songs loved them as well. I used to replay her songs for hours, weeks even.. Then I stopped listening to western music after I discovered n fell in love with Kpop.

Weird, I found this track whilst working at Starbucks and it had made its way on one of the playlists and loved it first time round. Also love the Hu, randomly came up recommended on YT as I listen to metal but had been looking up Mongolian throat singing after watching Marco Polo. I heard LP first time on a CD. When I went on youtube, I had this reaction also , like many people "ow I thought it was a woman, and , is she a man ? google...Ah ok ! She is a woman, with a strong boy part in her. I became instantly fan on her songs, and after 3 concerts, I also follow her for her personality. When she sang that song to her producer (+ 2 other songs) , their work relation ship ended, because the producer did not want it. And, like in many stories,... that 's exactly this damned song that made her worldwide famous. She's pretty productive, so, some songs are less original, but there is a bunch of special songs, and whatever if it's "special" or "normal", she is so sincere, "all in" , doesn't hesitate to show her voice when she is not perfect (no auto tune), people who likes her are deeply touched, and I think this not only because of good voice, but something REAL, from the pure life. I touches our part that is outside of "conventional" "standardise". She works on her style... to be more "transparent". And among all those typical musics (which by the way have 100% right to exist), some people feel relief when we listen to something , as you said, original. I was in a looooooong burn-out when I had the chance to cross her voice (I don't listen to radio ans main streams, so it was a lucky unpredictable moment. And like many people, her songs, and her concerts, (and even meet some fans), helped me to come back on my feet. So, she is a good artist, but more than a good moment, she deliveres, transmits, somethign deeper. Of course only to people who are touched by her music.

LP was discovered and signed to a major label pretty young. The label had a hard time with pinning her down to some sort of mainstream niche and so she never put out an album. She did write a lot of music for a lot of other famous artists though. Some of the big names shes written for are Backstreet Boys, Rihanna, and Christina Aguilera. She has so many amazing songs of her own though. You should definitely check out Tightrope, The One That You Love, and her cover of Halo by Beyonce.

Since that video I 1st saw, I'm a huge fan and was upfront on her Nov 12 show in Atlanta. I absolutely love all her music. Historically, she's written songs for Rhianna, Cher, and others. It's the female Bob Dylan. Nothing else matters. But I do find it funny when people don't realize that intersex is 1 in 100 and completely natural in nature too.
