He said he wrote this one after he'd had a nervous breakdown. Bibi was his gf (it is her in the video and singing) She helped him set up the fundraising that helped him get the treatment that started his recovery. In the video she helps him back to his feet but he loses her anyway, because ultimately we have to bear the burden of illness alone. It's so powerful, and a completely different one from him too sound wise!

Ren wrote/recorded this at his lowest point in 2015, before he had his Lyme disease diagnosis. He had been suffering stress induced psychosis after nearly 6 years of debilitating illness, he was convinced he was going to die and he was afraid of 1) losing Bibi and/or 2) putting her through so much pain witnessing his deterioration. I am still completely blown away how someone can produce such a brilliant piece of art when they are so seriously ill. Incredible.

I've listened to this song a hundred times and it still gives me chills. It's one of Ren's best IMO, and is so overlooked because it's older. The fact that it was done with an almost zero budget and at the height of Ren's illness, makes the emotional aspect all that much more relevant considering Ren's health took a turn and he ended up back in the hospital this week. Everyone please pray for a speedy recovery for our "Sick Boi" prodigy! Get well soon, Ren! Your Renagades love you! 🙏💙

Bibi was Ren's girlfriend irl. They were in love but Ren was at his worst physically and mentally. This is the period he had psychotic breaks without knowing why. She did her best to help him but eventually it all got too much and they split up on friendly terms. But before she left, she created a gofundme for Ren's treatments. ❤ Freckled Angels from that album is the first song Ren dedicated to his friend Joe, if you wanted to do something early and heartfelt. If you wanted something more upbeat I recommend Love Music Part 1 which is also young Ren but more of a happy song ❤

It is Bibi singing and acting. Although since they were in a relationship maybe the acting might have been very close to their reality. Ultimately they did break up. REN speaks about it in his chapters. Although he doesn’t name any names out when speaking about his relationship with Bibi it’s easy to put things together. Thank you, great reaction.

Not only misdiagnosed but made to feel all the pain was made up in his head. He creates this after a psychotic break. He didn't have a diagnosis and he truly thought he was dying. Very deep. In my head, I always pronounce her name BeeBee, but in the one other song she sings with him, she actually says her name, and it sounds closer to Bibby. This is, indeed, a powerful song. Others have talked about the personal aspects of Ren and Bibi (and the other stuff surrounding it. I honestly love Ren's more traditional song-like music just as much as his more experimental and artistic stuff. I do know he has plans to do some more music in that vein, but with his health, it might be awhile. Thank you for continuing to let us see how Ren's music resonates with you.

This song is one of his deepest in my opinion. I knew this would hit you hard and resonate with you Prada as you’ve had/have your own health battles. He was very unwell at this time. He had undiagnosed Lyme’s disease at this point, and had had episodes of psychosis along with it. Ren looks so young (and scary thin) in the video and yes that was Bibi too. He started off the video on the floor, and even though at the end he was alone he was on his feet. Great reaction to a deep song. To understand better what he did and still go true look on his YT to the ''Chapter''. He tell his story with many detail in 8 chapter. He did that prior to releas ''Trouble''. You don't have to react to the chapter as iit's only him talking, but it is so well done.

Ren suffered 10 years and that was his life on the floor 23 hours a day he really was so sick all because he was misdiagnosed. Ren was beautiful since he was a boy as much as he is now.Ren is a genius! He is loved and his fans wouldn't want his sick at all. lol too you Prada

A ggod work of Art is complex and supports multiple interpretations. An alternative interpretation is that the girl was never there. Instead, her "presence" was a coping mechanism of his tornented mind, craving support and loving care as he suffers alone . Thiis interpretation isn't supported by the Ren's description for the video, but the viewer's free to interpret it differently from what the artist intended.

I always thought the song was about codependency which is an unhealthy aspect of a relationship where one of the couple is ill. Codependency is often called "using someone as a crutch". This song is the only one i can only watch if a reactor reacts to it. But with Ren having a relapse I can barely watch it even with you reacting to it Prada. 😢
