A counter tenor like Mitch is rare. Medieval Europeans (Thanks Catholic Church) used to castrate little boys so that they could keep such a voice. Mitch got lucky with his genetics and managed to keep it naturally.

Mitch and Scott has a KZbin channel called Super fruit. It’s also the name of their duo group. Scott just released his first solo project called Mars. Mitch also has a solo project under the name Messer. Kirstie has solo work too. She was on Broadway and was in Wicked. Kevin has his own channel too. He is also known as KO. Avi is on your now and has albums out. Matt is trying to get on Broadway now.

Glad you enjoyed this one as well! I know you probably have a huge list of recommendations for them - so I'll just suggest that you have a look for some of their live versions (maybe of songs you've heard the official music video for) - just to see that they do, indeed, sound as good live. There is the 2016 Pop Spring concert, which is a longer video that some reactors split into the four songs, others do the entire clip in one hit. It has 3 original songs and the Evolution of Michael Jackson. Also, there are professional videos from their more recent Hollywood Bowl concert. I'm not sure where you are - but they are touring the US later this year. You may be able to check them out live yourself!

If you really really want to know what Mitch's voice is capable of, but if you notice it doesn't take any effort for him to hit this note, which makes me think he can go even higher. Scott and Mitch have a side channel called SuperFruit, On there Scott talked Mitch into doing his favorite song from his favorite Broadway musical, the Play is called Wicked, the song is Defying Gravity. The play is the Wizard of Oz told from the perspective of the witches. In this song one witch (Mitch) Elphaba (strange name I know) is arguing with Glenda (Scott) about learning how to be the first witch to fly on a broom. (the name Defying Gravity makes sense now). You kind of need to understand all of this to not only understand the song, but their "costumes". kzbin.info/www/bejne/rJWxhJxmbLlofbM At the end of most Superfruit video's, you will come to a screen that says "Subscribe" DON"T stop the video, 9 out of 10 times there are bloopers after the subscribe. So I didn't do much PTX watching Sunday-Tuesday... Anniversary of Mom's death... and this one makes me cry when thinking of her and Dad... knowing they would've been as obsessed as I am with PTX. Music was a huge part of my youth, from Church to Broadway to Popular music of the 60's and 70s (Opera and Classical, sadly, was where I drew a line in my youngest years (5-17) but later learned to appreciate it all. Anyway... I've noticed you appreciate the Beatboxer Kevin, and I might have mentioned it in a previous comment (Old-Timers sucks) he's my guy! PTX is probably the best acapella group out there I watched their journey on a talent show...and they are from Texas, my home state (well 3 of the core members...well Avi left to peruse a solo career,) but Mitch, Scott and Katrina are from Arlington TX...once lived there myself.

Like someone said in another comment, they touch all age demographics. THAT says a lot. If you’d like a little segue (and each member has been featured in other groups), I’d recommend watching the Disney Princess Medley which is by the group VOCTAVE (more choral like), but they feature Kirstin Maldanado from PTX and a former boyfriend of hers from a number of years ago.
