I love that you listen some of my favorite songs and bands. Where I’m from (Jamaica) it’s dancehall or rap never metal. I don’t know how i got into it but nothing vibes with me like metal music but it makes it all the more difficult to find someone to listen with or talk to about something i feel so passionate about. Your videos are that outlet for me. I needed someone to just listen these with me and react and try to get some insight on melodies, instruments and lyrics. Glad i found your channel. This prob won’t get seen bc this is an older video but I’ll comment anyway 😂 So this is a different singer from “Second and Sebring”, the song you mentioned at the start. That singer was Austin Carlile, who stepped away from the band in 2016. I enjoy some of the post 2016 stuff, but very few artists during OM&M’s prime could keep up with Austin, in my opinion. Favs from his era w the band are “This One’s For You” (there’s a 30 sec scream at the end of the live version), “Ohioisonfire”, and “O.G. Loko” Just found your channel today; great stuff! Keep at it 🤘🏻

@@SeanStaxxMusic Dope to see you responded so quick to a 7 month old video! Their first album w/o Austin “Defy (2018)” definitely changed styles. It’s a much more melodic, lighter rock. Very little, if any screaming. But after that they went back to their original metalcore style vibes. Half screaming half singing. I prefer the Austin era but their newer stuff is pretty good too. For instance, “The Mountain” off the 2019 album has one of their best breakdowns.
