You probably cant tell from the opening but Cowboy Bebop is a legendary 90s anime that is set in 2071 and is really futuristic yet has a nostalgic feel. It's a really cool combination of old animation, intergalactic adventures, soothing music, and each episode is an independent story that focuses on a certain character, genre, or idea. I definitely recommend you check it out when you just wanna chill and watch something new.

I highly recommend the Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood openings and also the Madoka Magica opening and ending. The opening is really light and colorful, but the ending shifts to a really dark tone. Both songs are beautiful though

If you like energetic and rock openings, you can't go wrong with One Punch Man's intro. One of my top 3 anime's of all time, and the music is outstanding in the show itself. Gintama is my favorite anime of all time. I really found myself through that show. I definitely recommend it. It can make you laugh super hard and cry all the water out of your body, in a single episode. It's a comedy anime that has a recurring serious story.

Man I almost cried when the gintama opening showed up. My favorite anime of all time, saved me from suicide 15-16 years ago. And the show only got better with time. Also you said you don't care if it sucks or it's amazing, but I just want to say. It's meta as hell (gintoki reads shounen jump in the show and makes references to dragon ball, bleach, naruto, one piece, all that shit) and so understanding japanese humor, references and other anime would probably greatly enhance your appreciation for this show. Think of Gintama as the Troll version of Deadpool, except he's kind of a bum after retiring from a life of war. None the less the show also has some amazing bloody scenes and deaths that made it so fucking memorable. The movies are some of the top rated of all time on My anime List. (Edit, noticed at 8:40 we got a tiny bit of samurai heart, that ending is also super nostalgic to me.)

So with Berserk, it's one of those stories that hasn't had a really great adaptation of the full source material. If you aren't against manga, couldn't recommend it more. The mangaka (the guy who made the manga) is a incredible artist, and it's such a shame that he died before being able to finish the series. But everything that we did have from him was astonishingly great

It honestly makes me happy to see someone just getting into anime and anime music, because it really is a unique form of media and you both see and hear things in anime that you will never see anywhere else. I remember being so blown away by how anime looks to the point that it almost ruined western cartoons for me, the quality and artistic expression was just on another level and even at like 10 years old I was hooked and never going back. I feel like tons more people would love anime if they gave it a shot with the right first anime, they just have to see it.

Anisongs (Anime Songs) are the only song in my playlists all of the time cause it just very hard to get the feels from other songs in my opinion (You opinion my be varied by mine). So yeah, if you want to try, just ask you friend to recommend shows you might like because they know you personality and the way of your thinking about something.

Steins; Gate is actually one of my favorite anime series. It seems relatively unassuming when it starts out, but the suspense and creepy factor just keeps growing and growing until about half way through it turns into one of the most gut-wrenching anime experiences I've ever had. Really great show. As for other anime openings, I highly recommend Noragami. Both the season 1 and 2 openings are absolute bangers.

EGOIST, the band that did the guilty grown opening is absolutely amazing. They were created especially for the Guilty Grown anime, and are even in the anime itself as a popular band in that world. Although they were made for guilty crown, they did also make a couple songs for another anime, called Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress. Sadly, since they were made for a single anime, the band doesn't have many pieces as the lead singer had left to pursue other things shortly after their work on Kabaneri.

Kinda late, but this opening is actually supercell with Koeda, the ending is the one you're talking about. EGOIST is basically supercell with Chelly as vocal. So even if EGOIST doesn't have that many songs (they also did the EDs from Psycho Pass besides Kabaneri) supercell is always amazing, they change vocalists quite a lot like with EGOIST but they usually have the actual band name. I imagine EGOIST was a special case because of the context of the anime.

Alright boys and girls, I think I had a fucking stroke when I wrote that. 1. The opening in question was in fact, not Egoist. I was thinking of opening 2, "The Ever Lasting Guily Crown". Opening one, "My Dearest" was done by Supercell. I'm not sure where my brain mixed the two. Apologies. 2. Egoist has actually done a good deal more music since Kabenari, they simply stopped for like, a year or two. And that's where my info came from as that's when I was mainly into EGOIST. In other words, my info was severely outdated. I apologize to any who I may have misinformed. I think I was really tired when I wrote that comment. Steins;Gate has such a classic opening. It is definitely one of the more memorable openings in all of Anime. And the visuals help so much with that. If you are interested is some dark anime openings, the higurashi when they cry openings hit a sweet spot for me, just beautiful. Talking about the anime, Gintama is weird, in a good way. A lot of episodes are goofy af, but the ones that get the plot going are often very emotional, and the openings usually reference that. If you want to watch it be prepared to 300+ episodes and a good chunk of references and jokes that you won't get if you're not Japanese (that doesn't mean that you can't enjoy it, I love it!)

My friend's favorite anime is gintama even though he hasn't watched op and bleach. Knowing something about the show also helps a lot to get the refences like gundam deals with robot mecha shits etc.

If you like the hxh opening then you should absolutely listen to the shows 2nd ending "hunting for your dream". It's by the same band that made the opening. Listen to the full version though, it's incredible. It's power metal so I think you'll like it quite a bit. They're often called the Japanese dragonforce.

You should react to all of Ginatama's opening (and endings). They're great. And definitely check out the anime. You should also check out the openings for a Chinese animation called Mo Dao Zu Shi (Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation or The Founder of Diabolism, depending on translation).
