The thing about the whispered lines "Little girl gone got a gun from a gangsta. Run little girl, run little girl, bang ha" is that she is impersonating the guy she is mad at, as if he were making fun of her like she's a baby. Like Ren, Chinchilla is independent now. Up until recently she wasn't. She wasn't treated very well by the industry. And it really shows how poorly she was treated that she's finally getting the success she deserves now that she's broken away and is going at it independently. More people should have known who she was long ago. This song and another song Fingers are very much about her relationship with the industry. I'd recommend checking out Fingers Live for Hunger TV and Elements. And you were right, the scrabble board is song titles. Shadows is probably my favorite.

This is also a very powerful song of healing for all of us, men and women both, who are survivors of sexual assault. The first time I heard this song was as a result of shorts done by KZbinr CrazyCae. I fell in LOVE with this song! I not only survived SA at the age of 19, but I'm a survivor of domestic violence (at age 30), and will be a three year survivor of breast cancer as of November 3rd. This is our anthem, and we are coming into our power. If I could ever meet Chinchilla? I would hug her silly for writing and singing this song.

Glad you rated it. It's rapidly becoming the anthem for the millions of people (women & men) who have been abused, degraded, put down, kept small etc. When her label & management told her not to release this as it's "too left field" for her audience i can only guess they have no comprehension of the millions of us there are who finally learnt to say "No More!" and those who still want to find that power within themselves. Can i just mention Sam Thompkins has just released a beautiful song, raw and vulnerable that's barely even getting looked at by reactors right now which, given his voice -and kinship with Ren - feels out of odds, especially given his track "Lose It All" has just hit 10million streams... I’m sure others may have mentioned this but when you comment on her yelling but singing at the same time; it is the same style of technique that she uses in Chalk Outlines (just more softly rather than loudly). It’s like she speaking but with vocal notes included in it.

AHHH, commenting before I even watched. This song has a special place in my heart for several reasons: 1. I'm sorta the informal spokesperson for a group of women who are all survivors of a serial abuser, and this has become our anthem as we wait for his upcoming trial. 2. The song is just a banger. 3. THIS SONG LED ME TO REN!! Chinchilla popped up on my FYP on the clock app when she was promoting this song before it dropped. I actually got to see the premier of the video. But I was watching reaction vids to this song & all the reactors were saying how they found Chinchilla through her duets with Ren, and I just kept hearing Ren, Ren, Ren...I was like well, maybe I should give him a shot. MIND BLOWN, LIFE CHANGED. Also, love your reactions. They're in my top 3 favorite and have been for a long time. I found you back when I was watching reactions to all the tracks on Music To Be Murdered By. You instantly got a follow from my other account, so when I started down the Ren 🐇 🕳 I knew I had to look you up to see if you were doing Ren reacts. Soooo thrilled to see that you were.
