The song Chi is for the late bassist for Deftones, cause he was a madman on stage and I guess that why they named the song after him. Sadly he passed in 2013 from a serious car accident in 2008. I dig Korn in this era.
@dex49942 жыл бұрын
The song Chi is from 1996 , long before Chi passed away , you might be getting this confused with the song Fieldy and many other metal artists performed for Chi in 2009 called "A song for Chi" which was a tribute to Chi and his hopeful recovery which sadly didnt happen :(
@chrono0502 жыл бұрын
@@dex4994 he didn't mean it was written after chi passed just named after him

no no it wasn’t, Chi is a letter in the Greek alphabet.. the song is about living a worthless life. You’re thinking about the collab between other artist close to the Deftones “A Song for Chi”…

What no way off the song Chi is after Chicago He loved the Chicago metal scene before 90s metal defined metal. It's after Chicago wow lol not after a guy from Deftones I guess people say anything and think it can be believed

If you're wondering why intro is called twist, you have go back and remember your reaction to their song Clown where in the beginning they talk about wanting to put a song called twist onto a record. Well they went and actually did it

When you did the reaction for “Clown” the beginning was the boys talking to each other and David(drummer) said “I wish we could put Twist on a fucking tape” this is what he was talking about lol. I’m not a big fan of bass guitar as I prefer lead, but Fieldy from Korn has this sound that just gets me loving bass when I hear it. Especially on their earlier albums, it’s just so badass. I feel the same way about Ryan from Mudvayne. Both don’t get the credit they deserve and there are better players out there, but those two guys are just amazing definitely make bass more enjoyable when listening to them. Korn does a version of “Lowrider” with Head(one of the guitarists) singing. It’s pretty short so you’d probably want to do the same as you did with this reaction and throw another song in with it. I would recommend an A.D.I.D.AS./Lowrider reaction both off this same album, their second. They’ve even got one on there about Mr.Rogers if you’re not too young to know who that is.

Hell yeah!🤘 This is the 1st & 2nd track on Life is Peachy, what an intro to the album, huh?! Twist is an awesome little song, really showcases Johnathan's Metal Scatting technique, it's amazing! I love it when he does that! Scatting is actually mainly utilized in Jazz music, it's so cool & unique to hear it in metal music, & he freakin' pulls it off! Chi is also an amazing song, the chorus goes "Sick of the same old THING, so I dig a hole, bury PAIN!", & I love it when he really gets to screamin' in the bridge. Johnathan's singing definitely has "levels", great vocal range & different styles of singing, but his voice is instantly recognizable, so unique to him. And you can always hear & feel the emotion in his voice & his lyrics. Great reaction Kurtis!

One thing the current generation of music can learn from is the different tempo sets that was in the 90s music it doesn't matter if you're talkin about rock doesn't matter if you're talkin about rap music in the 90s was the epitome of using tempo to your advantage Music today is the same tempo which is literally a negative vibe style of music

Dude, they cover Lowrider on this album. LOWRIDER. Keep up with the great Korn reactions! Check out Wicked (with Chino from Deftones), No Place to Hide, A.D.I.D.A.S. (Has to be uncensored though.) Ass Itch (speaking of crazy bass!) Korn tackled lots of issues with this album, specifically sexuality and abuse in the 90s, both personal and general. It's blunt, dark, weird and pushes you out of your comfort zone.
