Linkin Park is the first (or one of the first ?) band/artist I chose to listen by myself when I was young. What I mean is that I'm the youngest of my family, and they're the first band I listened to that was not introduce to me by my parents or siblings or even friends. And I still love them and listen to them now. 🤍

I am so glad you listen to grey daze too. Linkin Park may have been highly considered the epitome of nu metal before but Chester’s origin is grunge. I feel that he doesn't get enough credit for his grunge vocals. If you listen to LP's earlier discography, you can hear their music is not just rock based but also has some grunge inspired sounds to it. Chester's grunge vocals are there too though he can switch to different vocal styles. Most of his early music influences are Alice in Chains, Nirvana and Soundgarden. His og band is also grunge band. Mike Shinoda and Linkin Park are what got me into hiphop, rock, metal and probably grunge too

@@darrenlucas7362 What I liked about Linkin Park was that they weren't afraid to mix music, different styles. That they're humble, down-to-earth people. How they interacted directly with the fans. I found the same things in K-pop. You probably don't know K-pop at all.
