You should really look into the back story into this song Knox, particularly into how Deaf Jam and Nova got along, it really shines through with the way some lines cut. Nova is like a phoenix here and this song is about how she used the very flames used to burn her to ashes to rise up even stronger. This Nova was born from the destruction of her younger naïve self, the one that accepted money in advance to buy things she didn't need, listened to the criticisms and demands of everyone around her and tried to please everyone. This is the biggest reason why both Nova and Tom are such an inspiration to the H.O.G fam. They take their greatest defeats, their biggest mistakes, most poignant regrets and they do more they just move past them. They accept them, learn from them, make them a part of themselves and use those experiences to become better people and reach new heights. Where most people say either they have fallen and can't get up or that the glass ceiling is holding them down, Nova and Tom look up and say "These are not my skies, they cannot hold me."

Funny how I randomly found this reaction video from you after my first time listening to Nova which was today. Somehow we both watched this same video as our first experience of seeing Nova being the performer in front of a camera, rather than the amazing videographer and video editor of Tom Macdonald's music videos we only really knew her as until this first viewing experience of her performing. Wow sorry, can you say run on sentence? lol Only have seen 2 of her music videos. Since she talked about "Old Nova' in this video you reacted to, I was curious to hear and watch what old Nova was like which led me to her song "The Whole Bag". My God she looks super sexy in that video, and I hope my comment on the video doesn't piss off Tom. He seems like a secure guy who can handle another guy complimenting Nova's physical looks. He just has to compare his youtube statistics to mine to know I'm certainly no threat haha Can't stop watching Nova's "The Whole Bag" video. Wish it was a lot longer, but it's addicting nonetheless.
