You picket the best live version of this epic. I was there and it was incendiary. It doesn't get better. Thanks man.

I was also there at Great Woods on that June night in 1997! One of 27 Rush shows I have seen.

Check out "XANADU" live from the Exit Stage Left live album in 1991. Best live performance ever...

Great reaction let the music do the talking. Alex Lifeson Guitar, Geddy Lee Bass vocals and Keyboards , Neil Peart Drums. Unfortunately Neil has passed away but the music and Rush legacy lives on.

Great way to start my Friday!! Awesome reaction. I was at this very concert - and it was MY first time hearing 2112 in it's entirety (I only had the Rush - Chronicles compilation CDs at this time, and it only had Overture/Temples of Syrinx) - Talk about being blown away! I think I bought the actual 2112 album the week after this concert! Just an incredible performance! Cheers.

Yes. I have never before heard them play the whole 2112 side 1. On "All the World's a Stage", they skip what I think is one of the most beautiful parts of the song: "Discovery", and this is the first time I've seen them play it live. And Alex played it a little different than the recording. Usually when artists deviate from the recording, it's not as good. I won't say the way he did it live is better than the recording, but I will say it's as good. This is great.

Also, in my older years, I've gained greater appreciation of Caress of Steel. OMG. Why didn't I realize how awesome songs like "The Necromancer" and "The Fountain of Lamneth" are back in the 80s when I was in my 20s?

I was in the audience for this one! It was great.

Now, check out this song off of "All The World's A Stage."

Agree , Their Youthful Energy on that version , played in a much higher music key than this one , which suits a much younger Geddy Lee's voice , is what all following versions of "2112" get compared to for me .

It's great that you concentrated on the video for at least 20% of the time, managing to squeeze it in between messing with your phone and staring at the camera. Brilliant work mate. I don't know how you did it. 😂😂😂

I saw the whole thing mate. I only look at the camera when its something being done that i thinks is dope so i dont pause a million times anyway thanks for stopping by👋

🤗 Saw this Tour at MSG 😚 but all I remember is Alex in Leather.... 🤭 The show was awesome. 🤔 Was this Snakes & Arrows or Time Machine? 😳 Or R40? 😆 Sorry, you lose count after the seeing them open for KISS. 😏After the 25th show, they all start blending together. 🙏🏿 Blessed to live in NY but NJ & CT Tickets were always cheaper than MSG. 🤔 And easy to get home from shows. 🥰🐰

This was a great way to start the morning! This song was one side of the album. The second side has a number of shorter excellent songs. This song was a finger to their record company who didn't like their previous album because it was too Progressive and experimental and they refused to promote it . They wanted more "radio friendly" shorter cookie cutter songs. This was Rush's answer. The album became a huge hit and the record label never bothered them again. Rush assumed control! 23:29

This is the perfect way to start my morning!! BTW, onr element that we didn't hear that well here, which comes through loud and clear on the studio recording is Neil's announcement at the end: "Attention all planets of the Solar Federation!" 7 words repeated 3 times = 21 "We have assumed control!" 4 words repeated 3 times = 12 Another epic masterpiece that I'd love for you to hear is Cygnus X-1, which starts as the closing track on A Farewell To Kings and continues as the opening track on Hemispheres. Cheers from Toronto! 🎤 🎹 🎸 🥁 🎸 🐐 🐐 🐐

I saw rush in 1976. I told my 8th grade music teacher about it and he said I wouldn't even be able to remember who Rush was when I'm 30. Mr Sapp, if you're out there, do the math.

Try the studio version of The Necromancer from Caress of Steel. I say studio version because there are no good audio or video versions of this song. This might be one of the most unique RUSH songs ever recorded
