Everyone loves to talk vocals with Arch Enemy, but their guitars are written and performed SO incredibly well. They're easily my favorite part of the band.

Arch Enemy is so underrated. Been a fan since I was a teenager. They've actually had 3 vocalist. One man and two women, the singer you're watching is their 3rd obviously. AE fans all have a favorite and it usually gets into a heated argument lol

Can't stand people who bother arguing between vocalists. Alissa and angles are both amazing but different, with ETF it was a problem, Hollywood undead, and nightwish.. like damn just enjoy the music if you don't like the new singer, stop listening

In my opinion, Angela and Alissa are equally good with Arch Enemy. I think Alissa is the more technically skilled vocalist, in terms of breath control, pronunciation, and of course her singing voice, and Angela is better at power and volume. I happen to find Alissa's lyrics much more interesting, because Angela usually just wrote songs about anarchy and overthrowing authority, while Alissa writes about things like human ignorance and knowledge, revenge, heartbreak, and animal rights. Her lyrics always tell some kind of story, whereas Angela and Michael's lyrics are rarely that specific. But if you like Angela's voice, that's okay. All the people who complain about Angela and seem to think she's God or whatever always neglect to mention that Angela was the one who picked Alissa to replace her, and it was probably the best thing that possibly could have happened.

Arch Enemy is great! I really like Alissa's harsh vocals and she has a really pretty clean voice as well. I'm not well versed in the eras featuring their previous singers but I definitely like what I've heard since Alissa joined.

Cool reaction guys! The cool thing is that the band has just as much energy live, if not more. They almost hold back on the recorded stuff to make the live shows seem epic. Checkout Wacken 2018.

Alissa was a stand in for Nightwish. This was during their Denver concert. It was Alissa and Elize Red, they where the backing singers of Kamalot. They did their best to make the show go on. Look up " Nightwish Denver debacle . To read the details. There is a KZbin video of it as well. Just a long winded way of saying she can sing (clean) as well.

Loved that you guys love this song, it's such a good one. I highly HIGHLY recommend their song Nemesis with their previous singer Angela Gossow (who turned the reigns over to Alissa a few albums ago). It's the song that got me into Arch Enemy and it has the same powerful type of message and you'll get a chance to hear another of the most powerful female metal vocalists ever.

A huge fan here and I've seen the band several times. It's an exhilarating experience and they're all masters of their instruments. Also a Patreon of Alissa's. She's been a huge influence on my becoming vegan due to health reasons and I'm pumping iron as well. She's awesome AF!! That's all her voice and the same goes for Tatiana in Jinger they're both self trained and they don't hurt their voices at all due to proper techniques. Great review man!

Great reaction to an epic song. The 2016 performance of Nemesis at Wacken is epic, but I personally prefer the 2018 performance as Alissa's voice is constantly growing - but there isn't a separate video for that so you'd need to do the 2018 full set video and use the link for Nemesis. Their former vocalist and current manager Angela is epic too - "We Will Rise MFVF 2010" is an epic video for her.
