Oh yes, Dimash did, and does spend all his time on music. He said in some interviews that if you open my heart, you’ll find music in it, and if you open my brain you’ll find only music too. Since he was a child, all he wanted was to become a singer. Instead of playing with little cars, he’d play with cassette tapes and stack them into a stage… His parents were singers, his grandma started taking him to take music lessons daily from age 5. He is trained both classically and in contemporary music, and is now working on his PhD in musicology. Since you guys are rappers, maybe you should react to Dimash’s rap? Dimash has amazing MVs, "The Story Of One Sky" is a masterpiece. Dimash's parents are singers and they discovered his talent at a very young age. Dimash has been studying music and vocals since he was 5. He still studying, now working on his PhD in Musicology. But interestingly, singing it's not his only talent. He's composing, playing instruments, acting, modeling, directing and even not bad in martial arts.

He is so awesome, isn’t he? Stranger is one of my absolute favorite songs. I get goosebumps every time I hear it. I’m a real fan of movies like this that have such a mystical vibe. And it was such a great idea by Dimash to use the Kobysz for that. The kobyz is a very old Kazakh folk instrument and it’s spread among Kazakhs. The man who often is playing the kobyz in Dimash’s performance (also here in Stranger) is the best on this instrument and a good friend of Dimash. His name is Olzhas Qurmanbek. You often can hear this instrument when Dimash sings in his native tongue like Samaltau, Qairan Elim or Òmir Òter. He sang this song on the New Wave in Sochi, Russia in 2021. This is an international contest for young performers founded by Igor Krutoy in 2002. Dimash sang here as a guest and was also a member of the jury. Igor Krutoy wrote this song like so many other masterpieces for Dimash. He's very spiritual and thankful for the gift God has given him. But he also works very hard to improve his vocal skills. He said in an interview he trains every day at least 3 hours and he swims under water very often to increase his lung capacity. He's a singer you can't put in any box. He sings almost every genre there is. Every time you watch a video, expect the unexpected. Even the covers he sings he makes his own and brings elements into the song that you would never expect. He has been studying music since he was 5 years old. And as for the flowers and the screeming at his performances. It's a cultural thing. It has something to do with respect for the artist. Dimash recently moved to Los Angeles to attend the L.A. branch of The New York School of Fine Arts, majoring in Film Directing. Dimash Is just in a category by himself. Both his parents are highly musical and helped train not only the best singer but if there was an award for Best Human, I honestly believe Dimash would get the most votes. Dimash started singing when he was five years old and yes, he has spent his entire life learning about music. In fact he finished his PhD in musicology. He performs opera, rock, pop and also raps. A Doctor of Phylosophy is referred to as having earned a PhD. The University where Dimash is studying also awards their students the same degrees. Bachelors, Masters and PhD (Doctor of Phylosophy) in various fields of study.

Yes Dimash puts every single second of every day into making music. Even in his sleep- so it is alleged! Some say he practices a minimum of 3 hours a day, but those around him have described him constantly humming and singing and creating. Dimash IS music. Hs parents are both well known singers in Kazakhstan and he commenced formal musical training at the age of 5 with the best teachers in the land. By 8 he was winning piano as well as vocal competitions. He has an unprecedented range of almost 8 octaves. He trained in classical voice / opera, but also musical theatre, pop, rock, jazz, blues, everything. Every genre. He likes to play creatively across it all. Refuses to be classified into any one narrow genre 'lane'. But Dimash has moved over and beyond all that. He has created his own DQ Brand and now has Hundreds of Millions of fans from every country around the world. Heheh!! Hey guys I love your guess regards Dimash starting off singing as a boy, but it wasn't as late as 9 years old, it started earlier than that. His grandma noticed he had musical talent as a little toddler, and that he had perfect pitch. He also used to love running on stage after his mom and dad's performances and taking bows to the crowd (much to everyone's amusement). Anyway his grandma took him to music school at age 5 and he took to it like a duck to water. He learned to play different instruments, he learned how to sing, and even as a little boy he started entertaining people and entering competitions (and winning). At that stage he had a nasal quality to his singing probably because the ethnic traditional songs he was used to hearing in Kazakhstan usually had that kind of sound. As he grew older and got more singing lessons under his belt he was able to move into using different vocal styles and techniques. He learnt classical singing (operatic) and took classes in jazz, pop and music composition. He still practices at least 3 hours a day, usually more. It's really his passion. Nobody forced him to do it. He has music running through his veins. You may come across candid TikToks of him clearly playing music inside his head, tapping out the beat or playing an imaginary instrument, singing little phrases, moving his hands in the air gracefully or mouthing along the words to other people's performances. He sings in corridors, on staircases, back stage, with family and friends, in the street, in airports. Dimash is music in human form.

Dimash was born with Perfect Pitch, that said, he has been in vocal training since 5 years old and trains everyday for at least 3 hours to improve his skills. This wasn't handed to him , this is continual hard work. He seems so incredible for us since most performers from the US just walk up to a mic one day and start singing. No vocal training at all. What we call amateur's . No, Dimash is skilled in his abilities due to strenuous vocal training, he even swims underwater every chance he gets so as to improve his lung capacity. Dimash was born with quality vocal cords, and was fortunate to be born in a musical family who helped guide him to the right teachers. But apart of that, he's been honing his skills EVERY DAY since the age of 5, and still going. It was the Singer in China. Dimash was INVITED yo take part. He came 2nd because at that time foreigners were not allowed to win. They changed it the next year. It was the Chinese who spread the word of this still young man (ges 29 this year in may 2023) because they were blown away by his talent and personality. He already had a big following in countries around his home land of Kazakhstan. Russia Belarus etc. He holds his own concerts across the world, his audiences travel from all over the world to see him. He is an incredible human being, so humble n caring. Dimash was only 22 years old when he opened and won the very first episode of The Singer Chinese show in 2017 with his performance of SOS. This show was a showcase competition for well known, professional Chinese singers, nothing like The Voice or AGT. It had a voting audience of 500 people from the music industry. Dimash was the youngest and the first foreigner ever to be invited on the show (as a wildcard) and, as a total unknown in China, he wasn’t expected to last more than half the show. He astonished everyone, came second in the competition, an overnight sensation in China (600 million views of this performance) and a global phenomenon. He will turn 29 in May. 🙏🏻🇦🇺

Both of Dimash's parents are singers and he started at the age of 5 going to music school. He currently holds a masters degree and is in Los Angeles going to film school for a year. He will soon earn his doctorate in music and all while he is composing music, touring etc. Yes, he poured himself into music and never stops training. He also has a red belt in Taekwondo. His younger brother is also a musician but so far not a singer. His sister can sing but wants to be the doctor. You need to check out his latest video, The Story of One Sky which is currently nominated in the UK for small film award. He deserves it. He composed the music, the script, acted and sang the entire song, although you would think it was 5 or 6 people. It is about war and the need for peace. It is intense and often hard to watch but it needs to be seen by the world. Thanks for doing Dimash.

My understanding was Dimash was born to parents who were famous singers for the cultural ministry of the Soviet Union, doing gigs featuring traditional Kazakh music to Soviet diplomatic guests. Already a national Russian treasure, they immediately became even more famous within Kazakhstan after gaining independence. They were the most influential musicians in the Aktobe region of the county. Dimash was undeniably talented from the very beginning. The family discovered he had perfect pitch at the age of 4 and by age 5, Dimash began his musical studies at the national conservatory. He was bred for music by musicians and trained by them before any opportunities for bad habits to cause setbacks. There is no substitute for this type of training or his innate genius or his talent for being a talented person...and he is simply the most skilled singer our species has living.

SOS is in French. Sinful Passion is in Russian. Dimash has performed in 14 Languages - most recently in Spanish with El Amor En Ti. Dimash is an incredible composer and all around musician. He has been studying music since 5 years old. Dimash videos are fascinating and varied. The program which catapulted Dimash to international recognition was a Singing competition for professional singers in China. Dimash was the youngest competitor at 22 and was a wild card invitee . He came in 2nd that year since the rules were such that only someone from China could win. The rules were changed the following year and a non-national won ( Jessie J I think?). A fun MV from Dimash is Be with Me and a cinematically impressive (as well as relevant masterpiece) is Requiem: The Story of One Sky. Dimash Qudaibergen (di-MOSH Koo-dye-BEHR-gen) is from Kazakhstan. He began formal training at age 5 and is professionally trained in Opera and contemporary music as well as musical theater. His discography covers a number of different genres: pop, R&B, EDM, rock, folk/traditional, neo classical, Opera and even a little rap and hip hop. He has performed songs in 15 languages. He speaks four languages: Russian and Kazakh and some English and some Chinese. He is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, songwriter, producer, director and actor. He has his own production company called Dimashali Creative Center. He is 28 years old, 6'3" and it consummate performer. His parents are both well-known artists Kazakhstan. His mother is an operatic lyric soprano and his dad is well a well known musician and singer also.

Patricia you forgot genetics. Without the basic ingredients doled out in the right amounts, I'm sorry no amount of practice will get you to Dimash's level of greatness. But by the same token no amount of natural talent will get you to where he is. Hard work is equally valued. However, without constant success to match to that practice eventually you will stop pushing the boundaries. So unless you're an idiot, or play golf, you need both components.

There are people who have talent, others have a lot of talent, Dimash has all the talents. He sings in more than 10 languages, has a perfect baritone, tenor, soprano, mezzo-soprano, and alto voice. He plays seven instruments, has a degree in classical music, opera, lyrical singing, bel canto, pop, jazz, rap, and has a doctorate in mem composition. He's still a red belt in taekwondo. it's BEAUTIFUL

Dimash sings in 15 languages (he is fluent in Kazakh, Russian and is learning English). SOS is a French song and Sinful Passion ia a Russian song. He already said in some interviews that at the age of 4, his mother ad father who are well-known Kazakh singers, discovered he had perfect pitch and at that age he began to study singing and playing piano (won his first competition when he was 5 years old). He's actually performed songs in 13 different languages, including Kazakh (obviously), English, Mandarin Chinese, Italian, Spanish, German, Serbian, Turkish, Ukrainian, Kyrgyz, and Japanese. *DIMASH'S PARENTS/FAMILY:* Dimash's father was not only a singer and musician of some sort, he was also the leader of the regional Cultural Development Board of Aktobe in Kazakhstan. Dimash's mother is a soprano singer at the Aktobe Philharmonic Society, a member of the Standing Committee on Social and Cultural Development, and Artistic Director of the children's studio of Aktobe's Akhmet Zhubanov Music College. His grandfather is a virtuoso dombra player and taught all his grandchildren to play the ancient instrument. His grandmother was a teacher of geography and biology but she was also a singer when she was younger and knows many old Kazakh tales and epics. *DIMASH'S MUSICAL START:* Dimash's first appearance on stage was at age 2, when he played a minor role in a local theater production. At home, he started taking an interest in musical instruments and his parents and music teacher noticed that he naturally had perfect pitch. Apparently, he's a super geek about all the mechanics of singing and loves to talk about voice placement, tone, navigating registers, breath control, expanding his already very large range, etc. And he is constantly working on his skills and finding ways to improve them (such as practicing breath support and control while sitting on the bottom of a swimming pool). Sometimes when I hear about his training, it gives me the vibe of an MMA fighter or a world champion heavyweight boxer training up for the next big fight. *DIMASH CONTESTS, AWARDS, HONORS, ETC:* Way too many to list here. Dude has been entering and winning singing and music competitions since he was a little kid, most of the time getting 1st place and often setting records for points awarded (including receiving perfect scores at competitions that had never awarded perfect scores in their entire history). He's also been named "Honorary" [this], "Ambassador to" [that], and countless other honors and titles pretty much ever since he was a little kid. He's sung at various major events such as the opening ceremonies of the Second European Games, the 71st Cannes Film Festival, and has appeared on seemingly a million different tv shows, opera stages, Festival stages, music showcases, championships, etc across Asia and Europe. *DIMASH KILLIN' IT RIGHT OUT THE GATE:* Dimash's first album went platinum 37 seconds after it was released and went triple-platinum within the first hour. His first big solo concert sold out 30,000 seats. His second solo concert sold out a venue with 40,000 seats. When Dimash performed his first song on the Chinese singing competition reality TV show "I Am Singer" in 2017, the audience had never heard of him and had no idea who he was. After that first performance, the studio had to hire bodyguards for him because the Chinese fans went CRAZY for him and would try to swarm him wherever he went like he was one of the Beatles back in '64. The famous Russian composer, billionaire Igor Krutoy, came out of retirement after hearing Dimash sing for the first time because he wanted to write music for that voice. Igor and Dimash ended up collaborating on a lot of songs. Dimash said that since he was two, he has never wanted to do anything but sing. To really get some insight into Dimash, watch "The Ultimate to Dimash." It is a 12-part series and it answers a lot of the questions many folks have had about Dimash. There are also interviews with him and others, from his teachers, co-workers, and almost anyone who has had a connection to him. It is so interesting. The videos are only about 15 minutes each in length.

From what I have learned, it is mostly the Russians who show their appreciation at concerts by giving flowers though I'm sure other nationalities may have the same practice. Dimash's parents are both singers and Dimash has loved music and the stage since he was 2. Apparently he used to collect all the cassette tapes in their house and take them to bed with him when he was little! While other boys were drawing cars, he was drawing the trappings of a music studio. When he was about 5 he informed his family that their piano was out of tune! He began at the children's music school at age 5. From there he went on to further music courses and at 15 entered the college of music where he studied opera and classical singing. After that he studied jazz vocals at university and also composing. He is now working on his PhD and should be finishing this year. (He will be 29 in May.) He did taekwondo for 3-4 years and swims a lot to develop lung capacity. He trains his voice every day as he says that even a week off sets you back vocally. He is always trying to improve. So yes, he is one of those people who has dedicated his efforts to his chosen craft. Although he lives and breathes music, he still says that it is a lot of hard work.

I cannot get enough Dimash. I read he started at 2 years old. His parents and grandparents were all music "whatever" big shots and they all play instruments and encouraged him his whole life. He has all kinds of degrees in music and the arts. I can't carry a tune in a paper bag with a handle on top.
