Disturbed has a song "Hold on to the Memories" It is about dealing with a loss. Had a big loss the week befoe Christmas. That song was played a lot. Still cry when I hear it. Very much worth a look for anyone who is dealing with grief.

Congratulations, 11 years here, best decision of my life. Not gonna lie I do still get the urges but the feeling of staying sober far outweighs any drug. I guess the sober life is my new addiction and I'm fine with that. Stay strong, stay sober.

I’m 62 and have survived 3 suicide attempts. Undiagnosed mental illness. 10 yrs of meth addiction. Clean 15 yrs. Diagnosed with bi-polar type 2 at 54. Trauma also brings you to depression and addiction. Wether it’s childhood trauma from parents or relatives or rape and worse. This band Disturbed has helped so many out there, just like most bands do with their honesty and taking their situations and making powerful music that resonates. My husband is a retired veteran with severe PTSD. I personally suffer from Schizophrenia, Bi-Polar disorder, and severe anxiety. I am also a 2 time suicided attempt survivor. We both work hard to keep each other surviving through our struggles. Plus, we have a beautiful daughter who is 10, and she needs us. I was told I could never have kids. That my body physically couldn't. And she came. She is our gift. She is our Reason to fight! Music is our healer. We both are now sober from Alcohol for one year and a half. Its been hard, but I know when I look in my daughter's eyes, she keeps me alive, she shows me hope. She is our reason to be here. We will always struggle, but love gets us through. Music is our spiritual guidance.

Hollywood, I have a song I think you'll thoroughly love, the song by Wheel - It's over now, it's a song about forgiveness from mistakes from the past and changing your life. When I hear it, it reminds me of your struggles that you have talked about on the channel, I think this will be a song that will help lift you up when you're feeling down. It's such a beautiful song, BTW it's a different side of Wheel (as far as musically) but right up your alley.

This and "the light" by them are some of the most moving songs in concert. This song gets me. Depression and addiction have riddled my family. When I was young my mother attempted suicide, had they not brought her back I'd have lost her. My sister and I have suffered from depression and now my 16 year old daughter is fighting and has been for 2 years. To top it off, I almost ruined my life with alcohol. My daughter saved me and now I'm strong for her

After all the shit I've had to endure over the years... health issues, losing the ones who were the very closest etc. I could literally write a novel with many chapters on my story and I've NEVER been suicidal but, don't think that the pressure hasn't got to me a few times and I have to fight those demons straight back to hell and keep trudging forward. First time I saw this (and quite a few more) I bawled & bawled for a straight hour I know. I think the only time I’ve seen my dad cry is when my parents found me cutting my wrists. It made me realize how much my actions affected them. I still occasionally struggle with urges to self injure but I’m much better at talking myself out of it now. Jacob and Rose Garfunkel named their kid (Art) Garfunkel 😊

Good morning guys! Man that hit home for me! I been balling lol. A very long time ago I purposefully overdosed myself on drugs and I died and they brought me back. And I had had countless suicide attempts. I am very grateful and humbled to be here today. I try my best to help people now and be there for people who suffer from addiction and depression. People need to know THEY ARENT ALONE THEY DO MATTER and THERE IS HELP OUT THERE! Thank you for sharing this amazing song❤️❤️🤓

I have never been officially diagnosed with depression but between 20 and 35ish i was depressed and needed medication for a lot of time. Now i am okay but with the way society is and the fact i cant get enougj money to just get a house, and save money for my retirement i start to feel the depression come back slowly...

When we lost my nephew to his demons, even though we were not close and did not know of his struggles, I still wondered why, why couldn't I or anyone have helped. A song recommendation, if you haven't done this already, is Under Your Scars by Godsmack. It's a great song along the same lines as A Reason To Fight.

Wow. First time hearing this song. Clean from meth, and pills for about 16 years now... Still fighting depression. Music gets me through, Psychopathic (Twiztid too of course) has a lot of songs that have really helped me. Fuck at times it has felt so hopeless. This is a very good reaction video. I've lived with Bipolar Disorder for most of my life. I've finally found the right medications that can keep me on an even keel, but every day is still dicey. It's a terrifying realization, that your own brain can turn against you so dangerously. The "just snap out of it" mentality, and the misunderstanding by many that it isn't a call for attention but a true disease, makes it so much more difficult to manage. The sole reason I don’t is I love my wife and I would never abandon her. I deal with depression caused by several chronic pain conditions. I have delt with nerve pain since I was 2 and a half years old. I have delt with chronic nerve pain for 34 years and because of a medicine I am on I can't take the 2 nerve pain medications that are currently being used to treat nerve pain. I don't know what life is like without pain. I know that for me listening to music is how I get out of my head when my pain is really bad. I know that eventually the nerve pain is going to get so bad till I can't deal with it without medication but till then I am trying to stay off the pain medication so it is more effective later.

I was molesting as a kid, sexually assaulted multiple times, raped, abused in every way possible. The first time I attempted suicide was 19yo, and again just last year. Many days the voice of my demon is the only thing, and it keeps telling me that im a mistake, an accident, a freak, and an abomination. I've lost too many friends to suicide, one of which was from a heroin overdose when he was 22. I think about them and how their deaths impacted me. I don't want to make my partner or my parents feel the way i felt, and push them into the dark place i ran away from. So for them, i fight.
