Metro Boomin, Gunna, Jay Rock and many more have shared early reactions to Kendrick Lamar‘s latest diss aimed at Drake as their ongoing rap beef once again finds itself at the center of Hip Hop discourse.
On Tuesday (April 30), just a little over a month after Metro, Future and K.Dot’s “Like That” set in motion one of the most high-profile feuds in recent years, the Compton native released “euphoria” in response to Drizzy’s “Push Ups” and “Taylor Made Freestyle” rebuttals.

Kendrick only addressed things people already know but he warned him in the beginning of Euphoria that he'll start sharing things people don't know if Drake keeps lying on him. All in all, I like Euphoria better. Lyrically it was layered and kept me returning to it to find out more. Thats Kendrick's style. He's more thoughtful, while Drake is for low hanging fruit to appeal to as many as possible. That goes to kendrick's criticism of Drake being fame hungry and wave riding. Yes he's a big artist but he has no identity and is just a cultural chameleon that swagger jacks other artists.

Honestly neither of them has done anything impressive. They both just regurgitate rumors about each other (drake and his fake abs, Kendrick getting cucked by security), while also saying “but I know more so don’t make me say it.” They’re both soft (drake is drake obviously, and Kendrick has tried to come across as a shy poet from day one). No one is dropping bombs, and the disses themselves aren’t that good as standalone songs either. Kendrick’s diss is honestly pretty bad considering the time spent. He doesn’t address the split, just references it. He’s trying to morally grandstand about being a better father, when there isn’t any indication for or against either of them being bad fathers (rumors for both about questionable personal lives). And he played into that wack ass “don’t make me say more” that drake did. It was lame enough when drake did it, Kendrick didn’t have to double down on that 😭 Honestly a pretty weak beef, from the start. Saying “I’m better than y’all” isn’t a good diss, even j cole slippin in the 5 minutes he spent in the beef.
