Ren was killing off the old versions of himself, i think. He is trying to move on from being sick bou. And of course he was stabbed in tbe eye fiming this and wrnt blind for several day. Then he pushed too hard and had a serious relapse and went blind again with all his symptoms flooding back , Flw back to Canada for treatment but could not tolerate the intensive treatment. ptsd kicked in again. He us back in Brighton. Spent several hours in Twitch with us and cried when he broke the news he may never be able to tour ir do big performances. Busking or more impromptu shiws might be possible. He crashed during filming a new Tale, called Starry Night. Lost 20K pounds. Because he will not cur cirners. He wonr try again until his health is stable again. My heart was breaking for him.

On comedic Ren, I can think of a couple songs he did for fun that also just blew me away. Uninvited is absolutely hilarious, just a brilliant piece of parody. He does it better than the people out there devoting themselves to parody as a genre imo. I also found his 1990s homage really fun and clever. So even the stuff he’s done that was just, like, goofy is incredible. Guy’s a real artist.
