I've seen The Hu once, opening for Halestorm, awesome show. This song is one of several they had redone ,with new English lyrics and guest vocalists. This version was used for the movie "The Retaliators". Another of their collabs to check out, "Song of Women" feat Lzzy Hale. In regards to your US National Park trivia. Yellowstone is 8th largest(2.2 M acres), Death Valley is 6th(3.4 M). The other 6 are all in Alaska, the largest is Wragell-St. Elias (8.3 M) in the South-central part of the state.

What he is singing in English is the translation of what they are singing in Mongolian. This is actually a Mongolian song that is about 1000 years old literally, about Ghengis Khan War Song

I saw The Hu open for Babymetal in Seattle in 2019. They were so great!! So much unbridled energy. I posted a cellphone vid to my modest KZbin account of one of the songs from that night. It's up over 7500 views for some reason. Also saw Papa Roach play on a bill with Mötley Crüe, Buckcherry, and Sixx AM in 2008. That was a fun night too!

If you guys really like this version of Wolf Totem, I'd check out some of the other collab songs these guys have done. Song of Women with Lizzy Hale, Black Thunder with Bad Wolves and Serj from System of a Down, and This Is Mongol with the lead singer of Alice in Chains (Be sure to listen to the original songs first for the comparison!) Honestly I don't think these guys have a single bad song, The Hu is just absolutely fantastic!
