3:40 Sweden have had Hip hop and rap artists since the very early 80s (at least). It really took off in the -90s though and went from underground to mainstream in late 90s early 2000s. In the begining Swedish rap was fone in English and the style mirrired the American trends. Then it started to ve done in Swedish and other influences came in. Then people to experiment and to kind if their own thing. Very early Swedish rappers rapping in Swedish were Just-D. Their Christmas song from the early 90s is a classic that is still everywhere each year. Another early influence on the Swedish hip hop scene was "The Latin Kings" who rapped in Swedish in the early to mid 90s and put the Swedish "hood" on the map, something that had not been done before. Another very influencial artist that took Swedish rap in Swedish into the mainstrean is Petter - well worth a reaction.
