Yes! The song is more impressive as a whole without the drum focus. Not that I'm taking anything away from Danny's play. The drum recording's audio isn't as good for the rest if the band.

Can't believe you're done with pretty much their whole catalog now. Pneuma studio version is something to look forward to, even if you've heard the live version, definitely! Obviously the live footage was mixed with the drums in mind, so you missed a lot of details and the power from the rest of the band.

I just want to take the time to mention that Tool has kept me rocking my face off, and even once, alive, since 1993. I have dedicated countless hours listening to them, daily, for the past few years especially. I have seen them four times. I have the bumper sticker. You get it. To see you two in action is like reliving every 'childhood' moment and many experiences of my life. You guys are amazing, and I'm so happy that you are #toolarmy. Disgustipated is kind of a hidden track at the end of Undertow. Gotta do that one too. The spoken word part after is fun and chilling. I remember when I got the album I would sit in my room a listen while drawing and thought the album had ended and back then when it was done there was no repeat, you'd have to press play again on the cheap boombox. Suddenly it started up and surprised me. Back when you could still be surprised by stuff like that. No internet no spoilers, full album no downloads, nothing is left out. Not knocking downloads just setting up how when they did that back then it was creative and using the CD tracking and length itself as part of the presentation/art of the album. Danny is 59, not a huge difference but... T-shirt looks like the Salival creatures hand with a Alex Grey third eye drawn in it.

Potions is absolute🔥🔥🔥🔥, though it wasn’t originally a Puscifer track. Can you imagine the sheer musical genius that those two could have spawned????

Pneuma is the creative source of a person, the vital spirit or soul. Check out some books on stoic thought guys. It’s a form of Greek philosophy that taught that virtue, the highest good, is based on knowledge; the wise live in harmony with the divine Reason also identified with Fate and Providence that governs nature, and are indifferent to the vicissitudes of fortune and to pleasure and pain.

Sat Nam 🙏, in Sanskrit language breath is called String - String which binds material dimension with beyond. Body, and any other physical matter, cannot exist without its connection to beyond because its source is beyond. So everything breaths in its own designed way. We actually do not know at all what is breath, we just feel the sensation of air passing thru our respiratory organs so we think its breath, but in reality its much much more. Once the string is broken, body just collapses and you become disembodied, your perception rises manyfolds because 5 senses are not obscuring the reality anymore. BUT all the bodily tools which we were using thru the lifetime are gone, most notably discriminatory part of the mind, so what remain are tendencies and you continue to move by them. As majority of people are identified with their body for their whole human life time, initial tendency is to get back in it, but it is impossible as that body is not capable to sustain life anymore (in many cultures first thing what people do with dead bodies is bring together the legs, even tie up the big toes, as between the legs is the path where life wants to get back into the body). Most of the “enlightments” (seeing the reality as it really is) if someone is conscious enough happen in this moment. Conscious contact with other disembodied and divine beings becomes possible. So it is very important you increase your perception and open yourself to truth before string is broken, while you still have discriminatory part of mind (still be a human - Lateralus), otherwise risk of delusion is high and you can’t retain balanced connection with the source for long, you fall back away from source again and by tendencies reach out to available womb to be born again as human being. Time and again, game restarts. If accumulated karma is very bad (killers...), this process can be very suffering in its delusion (hell?) and you may be even incapable of reaching the human womb, so you fall further down. If accumulated karma is generally good, this process can be very pleasant (heaven?) but it is still delusion and in one moment you need to re-born. Fortunately nature designed several levels of screens, so we don't remember our previous human lives, otherwise our mental structure would collapse as most of the people do not have that mental strength to discriminate between many mixed memories. Unfortunately with some people these screens are not working, so there are medical records where people with split personality disorder had even up to 30 split personalities (30 lifetimes mixed?). DON'T RAISE YOUR PERCEPTION BY CHEMICALS, VERY IMPORTANT as by it you are skipping many necessary preparatory steps, and risk is high to collect bad karma, even if experience is pleasant it may lead to delusions and certainly addiction. Then how to raise our perception? - do it naturally, slowly, step by step, daily discipline, pay attention to life, include life, exclude psychological dramas, enjoy in silence, listen the music, enjoy in arts, eat healthy, avoid nerve stimulants (coffee, alcohol, tobacco, chilly, sweets), take care of body as it is foundation for strong mind, be active but not hyperactive, look into the sun when UV rays are low (early morning, late afternoon), enjoy in Moon's reflections (its romance with the Sun), be grateful to Cosmos for keeping you and all the planets and stars in place, choose carefully your relationships, don’t sleep with anybody just because you can, respect other life, kill and eat only what you really must... simply LIVE, and remember always THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS DEATH, DEATH IS A COSMIC JOKE, DELUSION OF OUR LIMITED MIND, THERE IS ONLY LIFE AND LIFE! Sat Nam 🙏

Adam plays the synth part in this song, just FYI for you guys.. some songs he does that, I’ve seen others where Maynard plays stuff in other songs.. I think for most stuff they probably have it loaded up in DAT or triggers that Danny or the sound guys/techs probably que up

Hollywood, the image of the eye on your shirt is from the liner notes in their Ænema album. The hand looks like it could be from artwork found on the Opiate EP, but I can't be sure. I've honestly never seen that tshirt before this video. It's dope though !

I thought it was from Danny's web shop because the eye within the hand is an occult concept that Danny is really into it.

@@Qliphirot oh you're probably right about that. I'm commenting on the actual design of the eye, the multiple pupils, itself coming from the booklet in Ænima.

I think that each player is playing "We are all one" with their instruments. Listen. Danny starts it off with his drumming at beginning. They are all saying 'We are all one"

his finisher is called "The Drum Roll". starts by pounding a guys head into a turnbuckle several times and then spin him and belly to back..... but not hold on and pin. to throw across ring (the rolling) as they smack opposite turnbuckle. he pulls them by the leg to middle and pins with little effort.

Having been through the whole catalogue of Tool, will you dive into some icelandic Solstafir, french Alcest, or come back to Gojira :) ?

That synth is played by Adam. He just hits a sustain on the final notes to trail out while he prepares for his solo. I watched him closely while I saw them play in A.C. NJ in 11/19

So, when you’re through the catalogue, you should consider doing Album Reviews. I’m sure you know this by now, or have at least guessed, but the order of the songs on the albums are deliberate and impactful. If you think one song takes you somewhere, try an album.

And ...that riff right at the beginning (3rd part, beginning of the song... Happens a couple few other times) you mentioned, Holl6wood, is actually Justin on his bass. Justin has some stellar parts throughout this album, but it's HIS style. He almost plays that thing like it's something else, and it definitely is not your typical bass line. Listen for him, maybe check out tutorials of his work, too. It isn't any beginner type shiznit for anyone in this band. All 4 are Tool.
