As someone who was there when Nipsey got gunned down, he did not die from a drive-by. One of his dudes was beefing with him face-to-face and when Nip called him out for being weak, he ran away and came back with heat. He walked up to him, shot him twice, everyone started running for cover, and when Nip was crawling on the ground, the dude came back and executed him with one shot to the head point-blank. Don’t know where you got info saying that he died from a drive-by. He had someone waiting to drive him off but it wasn’t a drive-by, it was a walk-up. The least you can do is get your facts straight

Benjamin berry Oh I gotcha now man, and it was “Deplorable cat” who asked if you were joking or not lol. I sincerely appreciate such a positive and awesome reply man, thank you. He was a product of his environment, and that’s exactly what he wrote about, as you obviously know :) he was, and still a magnificent positive influence to not only the rap industry, yet anyone who needs to persevere. I’m from NY, and am 35. So even at the young age of ten-ish, where I grew up WAS the hood, I could semi-relate to “gangsta rap.” But, me being from the East side, I am more of a Biggie Smalls fan tbh 😁 But? That man did great things in life, yes he did some bad ones but he turned it around and made it positive through music. I am very glad seeing in 2020 that it’s not about East Coast or West Coast crap anymore, we even have the south involved with their rap, and I love Ludacris. Saw him live as well, it was great. Tupac was a great man, as much negativity he received throughout his life, he went above and beyond. He will be missed heavily 😊👍 Thanks again for clarifying, and for the positivity man.

Tupac opened my eyes. Why I’m sad about someone who dies? I need to learn how to rejoice. They don’t have to deal with this cold world. People are very disappointing.

I think one of the most tragic rap deaths was Marlon Brando from the group Sporty Thievz (“Cheapskate,” “No Pigeons”). He died from getting hit by a car that had jumped the curb. Apparently, he pushed a kid out of the way and took the impact himself.
