Most artist that start their own labels while still putting out music usually fails because you're basically competing against your own artist which could cause some jealousy and selfishness..
@Hidd3nAudio5 ай бұрын
Just shows how insecure and delutional Kanye really is. Competing could be beneficial, coz instead of giving public speech in manic episode about how good you are, you focus on improving your craft showing who's the best. You never become great by bringing others down. If you're confident you know who you are, what you can do, being like him is opposite lol

i dont know if id say GOOD Music failed, considering everyone on it was highly successful. I'd say that it just died, it had a birth and a death but it accomplished its goals set for it. That's like saying labels like Bad Boy, Rocafella or Death Row failed. They just faded out with time, it happens in the rap industry. Also you could've included Meek Mill's Dreamchasers, or OvO etc

the consistent problem here is that these are young, hungry artists still trying to make the art of their lives. they don't have the experience, time, or extra ego to spare to manage and bring up other young, hungry artists. Kanye said it himself, "I was giving away 3 Dark Fantasies". He still wanted to make music, he was still hungry to be the best. You can't bring up other artists like that. This role is better saved for older artists with experience that are no where near making music

its crazy how we got insanely successful artists like Drake, Kendrick, and Cole who were all under labels made by legendary artists with Lil Wayne, Dr Dre, and Jay Z respectively. And it didnt stop with just them as Young Money, Aftermath, and Roc Nation all did produce a couple more artists that were either just as legendary as those 3, were hot at the time or even still are now. It seems like outside of these rapper owned labels however we never really got to see anyone else do it the way they did

Not all of waynes immediate proteges had the same potential (drake was sappy, nicki a girl rapper, tyga-mid, lil twist, chuckee gudda etc) but the overall unit imo has had a stronger effect. for all the bs drake and nicki deal with those 2+ wayne have had a huge visible effect on the industry. all of waynes students love him and he’s arguably =to kanye legend wise but maybe not business move wise..

I was a youngin' when Chief Keef first blew up on the scene. 2011-2013 era. He got HUGE from anyone who was involved in that drill shit. I'm from Chicago too, so I literally thought Keef already had his money made from the dirt he did on the street, I literally thought he just rapped as a spare hobby. So when I heard Kanye try to copy and steal his beats, it hit a nerve. Anyone who is ACTUALLY born and raised from Chicago doesn't really respect "ye" at all. How do you claim the Chicago struggle when you spend most of your time abroad and you were already better off than most in the city? Only the coachella//lollapalooza//fake hypebeast crowd. That was the first impression I ever got from Kanye. Just another slimy business man like Diddy. And that's exactly what he tried to do with Keef. I'm not a huge Keef fan, but I'll forever give props to him for recognizing how grimey Ye was, and even vocalizing his thoughts over the other rappers that he fucked over while they were starstruck. Fuck Kanye.

The sad part about Kayne is, he talented as hell, but he a massive megalomaniac. He can't see he needs more than himself for greatness. Song sales ain't a symbol of greatness, lifting up others and being humble in your greatness is. Can't respect him or listen to him anymore. When I was negotiating my deal back in the 2000's, I was star struck and got a bad deal. Never released anything outside of regional, it was my fault. I was a fool. So is Kayne in so many ways
