EXCELLENT EXPLANATION of Mr. Kendrick Lamar Duckworth's masterful composition and performance of his "Not Like Us" #1 record, club banger and 6th official Diss Track for his clear and #1 coveter Drake. I've listened to at least 4 other podcasts and short video's presentation's of this subject and I'm pleased to say I found yours handles it in a manner that is appropriately respectful of Kendrick's flow, poetic expression, intelligence, passion, knowledge and character. And your breakdown of all his lines was most thorough, enlightening and entertaining. Thank you. And just as a PS note, the Arabic word that you mentioned that Drake has tatted over his eye or eyebrow is " mushrik" which refers to people in that culture who reject Tawheed or ie rejects belief in one God, as believed in Islam. Therefore in Arabic a mushrik is one who believes in polytheism or multiple gods. The plural form is mushrikoon or mushrikun.

@@darrylherman916 Darryl, I like your take; however, it has nothing to do with "Amber Alert." "Ambulamps", isn't how "country folk" say it although it originated from folks in the south--ie, enslaved people. "Ambulamps" is AAVE - African American Vernacular English / dialect. BLACK folks who migrated from the south to the North, Northwest, and West held on to the dialect. If you live in an FBA-Urban Hood anywhere in America, more than not, you will hear somebody's granny saying "ambulamps" . . . Kendrick is not angry simply about culture vulture bs... Drake is playing gangsta and folks are killed in real life and Drake doesn't know or care about Black lives...to y'all this is entertaining but to the US Kendrick is truly speaking of... it's real and possibly detrimental

@ Rap Philosophy With all due respect, you understate how dirty the John Stockton line is: How many opps you really got? I mean, it's too many options I'm finna pass on this body, I'm John Stockton (How many opps you really got?) -This is a direct challenge to Drake because Dot has called him a liar multiple times. Euphoria he hits at him misunderstanding Mr. Morale and making up attacks. Dot is saying Drake is out of ammo -Also, Drake said it was a 1 v 20, which goes back to the line about opponents as you noted 1 v hip-hop culture. ( I mean, it's too many options) - Kenny is saying he has too many options to hit Drake with: chasing Minors, Drug use, Hidden kids, sex parties "I believe you don’t like grown women it’s real competition you might pop ass with ‘em", plus whatever else he "has in stock" (I'm finna pass on this body,) -He is bodying Drake making him pass on. Dot is saying He is going to make Drake pass on. -Kenny is going to pass on the Dead body to be disposed of. This is a victory so Drake is finished so he is leaving the body to be cleaned up. (I'm John Stockton) -This last is just a little more dirt on the grave, John Stockton played with Karl Malone who got a 13-year-old girl pregnant. -Dot brought up the drama and is passing the ball to Drake to deal with it now

My one wish is that people take a moment to listen. To DAMN...Track for track and understand that Kendrick has nothing left to prove. Drake poked a sleeping bear and is now getting mauled.

The Pass on this body line has 3 meanings; 1) The one you accurately described. 2) Pass on a body is also a basket ball dribble 3) Pass on / step over a body on the floor.

Today, after Kendrick has utterly demolished Drake, Drake is playing "Not Like Us" at his concert, trying to show that he ain't bothered by it, but looking that much more pathetic for it.

I just saw this yesterday and it was crazy… not sure if anyone mentioned it yet. They were saying the way he came up on stage in beginning of euphoria at concert and way he was kneeling was just like XXXTentacion in Cypher!! And we all know how ppl think Drake had something to done his passing… it’s exactly how he was kneeling. Maybe a stretch… but is it?🤷🏻♀️

I was in the pro wrestling business. I worked on the indy circuit here in Florida for over a decade. You're spot on about the history of the term "jabroni", as far as Rock and Shiek go. It had a variety of uses, from it meaning that someone was a nobody or a curtain jerker, or just that someone is a fake or fraud. However, you mixed up terms a bit later. Someone that goes out to lose to the bigger stars, is called a Jobber.

AND. . .Wop Wop Wop Wop Wop is a Cali term that came from San Francisco's Bayview Hunter's Point for "Molly Wop" as in "Molly Wop that Ass" meaning, the biggest beat down you can get when you street fight.
