@@RappingManualYT It really did help. I was always writing lyrics (that depending on the song ) I would occasionally try to use in a hip hop/rap musical frame work, but the lyrics always came across very linear and straight, but after I saw your video it was the perfect storm of creative timing for when I wanted to have a new song, and discovering from your video what resulted in "flow" from me for the first time. It's not great, but it's new ground for me, and that's like inheriting the key to a whole other realm of possibilities in myself. I hope you feel good about yourself because of that, because you changed and enhanced a life out here with what you do and your gift of sharing it. Hopefully I'm going to mix the song sometime next week. I'll let you know right here if I end up uploading it. :)

How long do you normally find it to be good to stay on a rhyme? A nigga will go on and on but feel like I’m driving the rhyme to the ground sometimes
@RappingManualYT6 жыл бұрын
It depends. If your flow is structure based (like one flow for the chorus, one flow for the 8 bar verse etc), then developing a rhyme scheme just for that part of the song sounds good. Most pop songs do that. On the other hand, there are verses that use one rhyme word throughout the whole thing. It's slick only if you're able to pack the same rhyme tree with punchlines, wordplay and clever lines. Then it's cool. If you can do transitions, you can have your own special way of switching rhymes mid-bar too. Normally though, every couplet/quatrain. That's normally, but it's art so all rules go out the window pretty much. Hope that helps.
