RAPTOR Painting my Van - Peugeot Boxer Campervan Conversion

Our Peugeot Boxer Campervan was in need of a good lick of paint on the sides for a long time. This week we prepare the surface, the paint and apply Upol Raptor using a roller to give it a fresh new look. Once dried this paint should be durable, UV stable and look good - but this is the first time I've done anything like this.
Applying the Upol Raptor using their rollers took a bit of getting used to, but I got the hang of it and managed to achieve that Raptor texture we all know. As always this was all in the prep, so the video shows you through the steps taken.

Nice job, I did the same like you but with foam roll on, you need to have a good temperature outside because the product harden very fast it will be like tar lol

Yeah, outside temp is key and be quick to remove any edging tape also!

Nice job Rob. I did my transit 4 years ago in Raptor. Had it sprayed on 6 bottles to do just the sides and only one coat! hard as nails finish, a wee bit streaky though!! Yours looks mint.. Kia Ora from NZ.

Looks good, really does transform the van. I'd be tempted to use Raptor paint on the bonnet too, especially if you go up the Dales/Lake District where there tends to be loose chippings on the roads. Archie might like it better if it was Black and Tan like him 🐕‍🦺

have you got a lift kit in there? mine failed its mot with my lift kit as it made my Foglight too high over 1000mm from the ground.... complained to DVSA as i though the tester was taking the p.... turns out its correct also how's your gearbox with the BFG's on i ran big wheels like you have on your and after 11,000 miles the excess torque required to get the wheel to turn and to slow down killed my diff bearings... the gearbox center told me they wouldn't put a warranty on the box if i still wanted to run my BFG's ..i also later found out that i had unknowingly increased my unladen weight as i had the van weighed again with standard tyres on and i had found an extra 55kg to play with

Never had any issues and my van passed its MOT… no issues with the gearbox also!

@@PackTheVanAndGo so you have a lift kit? i would check the height of your foglight as i had disconnect the light and fit one lower... it turns out thats the reason why the heavy version on 16in wheels has fog lights in the bumper so i will be fitting those on mine the nice DVSA guy and mot tester pointed me to this page www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/1989/1796/schedule/11/made
