The only way to sort those lower body panel seam joints is to pull the sealant out, then you can properly get into it. Whatever you have to do to get it all clean then work from there. Those lower panels can move against each other a tiny bit, they’re not very well supported. If you can be bothered it’s a good move to spray the reverse side of them inside the sill cavities with a decent creeping wax like Dinitrol ML. Your technique is what made it a turn out good job

What a lovely fella 😃 You wish neighbours like this chap. I have one like this one. I love him to bits 😃 I plan to roll my 27 years old Mitsu but I'm gonna use the raptor roller. That needs only one layer as it lays paint much thicker. With the not so correct roller it's time consuming AF. At the end of the day it's the result and the enjoyment the process gives that matters, I know 😊 I just don't want to spend 3-4 days doing it. I've got sooooooo many things to do😃

Great job explaining all the details of using this product. The van does look great and I'm sure you are proud of the look. Yes, it could use another coat of the green but it might have been fine if you had put a cheap primer down first to have a uniformly colored base to cover. I am about to paint a teardrop style camper I built from scratch. This is my first time attempting a vehicle paint job and I have decided to roll it on also while painting inside my air conditioned garage as it is 90-100 degrees farenheit outside here in Texas this time of year. Wish me luck!

@@TheadventuresofFatboy It turned out really nice. I bought a kit of 6 liters that included a green tint to be mixed in. After applying that I decided it was too dark and so I found a custom auto paint supplier who mixed a custom color for me. I used the textured roller for the first (dark) coat so I decided to use a smooth roller for the lighter coats and that worked great.

Hi, I got my flares from a guy in Leeds. Sorry I can't remember his name. You want to go large with these. Mine give 6'6 down to 6'3 with some dodo insulation and carpeting. But at 6'2 it works great for me. You just need to have the bed high enough. I used the scorva beams from Ikea and riveted them to the van. If its just you you can sleep diagonally easily. With company you will need the bigger flares:)

Did ypu know raptor do the propper rollers to? They resistant to the chemical so they don't melt the foam and they also textured to give a better finish. I sprayed mine, give ot a scuff with scotch pad. Tintible coverage is terrible takes twice as much to cover unlike the black and white which is excellent.
@TheadventuresofFatboy9 ай бұрын
I didn’t know about the raptor rollers until the other day. And I agree, the tintable version covered way less. It’s something worth noting for people choosing this route to paint their van.
@hoog1119 ай бұрын
Would it be worth painting it all black and then covering with the green. Thinking it might cover better?
@neiljemmerson88269 ай бұрын
No I don't think so the tintible stuff is no where as covetable as the black or white, just so you know I used 7 bottles 4 coats to get a good coverage on a vauxhall combo not including roof I painted that black with only 2 coats. I sprayed mine much better finish.
