I agree with you, Mario. I think not doing anything with her hair is what let this doll down the most. They could have plaited it and added flowers and things like that, as you said.

I just want her face mold changed!!! She looks kinda creepy! In the movie she's so damn gorgeous, I always fall in love with her but her face mold for the doll is ugly! I don't want to be mean with my comment but I want to buy at least one for my collection, because she almost has the same proportions as Elsa and Anna in the movie and Anna and Elsa dolls are always so adorable and cute! Sometimes I wish I could work for them to make them understand what they need to change or keep

I understand why some people don't like her as much as the other dolls but she's my personal favorite from the line. Shes the only one I got and also the first collector doll I've ever purchased!

I bought her last night, I think she's very beautiful, yes she is simple but she is still very beautiful. Rapunzel is simple in general but I love this doll. I have the Belle, Rapunzel, and Esmeralda. but i don't understand why some people don't like this one... personally the simple dolls are amazing and sometimes less is more.

I absolutely love Rapunzel, she's my second favorite, but my goodness they missed doing something absolutely breathtaking with her hair. I could not agree more with you! Imagine if they would have styled her hair like the little girls did in the film? If she would have had her hair styled as such, automatically I would have added her to my collection. It's been so long like you said since we've seen this beauty and I don't know what they have in store for this blondie, but I can't wait to see the new and improved girlie someday.

She is a beautiful doll but there is just something missing that would make her pop, you know what I mean? Perhaps the hair could have been done in a different style, cuz it's generally the same in most of the designer dolls except the couple set, even the hair on the hero vs villain set stood out, but she is beautiful. Meg was quite simple but her look was executed much better, but overall the detail is beautiful.

I think they do a great job with most of the dolls and characters, but I think it's weird that there hasn't been a really accurate doll portrayal of rapunzel other than the tangled series adventure doll, which is one of my favorites and is not even an LE doll

I think people would have liked her better if the hem of each layer had embroidery at the bottom to make the price more worth it, but she is still pretty. I couldn't afford them, esp the D23 ones, so I just passed on the lot. Can't afford everything. Thanks for posting these videos so I can look at them whenever I want!

I don't blame you for not getting a second one to debox. Her eye paint is a little sloppy. The bodice has nothing on it. She needs a necklaces or something. Her hair needs flowers or tinsel in it. Even the original playline doll had tinsel in it. Way to simple looking for the $140 price point.

This doll is riding that line between good and bad. Did anyone else notice how in Steve Thompson's artwork, Rapunzel's dress is a worse version of Esmeralda's dress, but in purple? Same neckline, puffy sleeves with something dangling from them, and a voluminous triple layered skirt decorated on each tier. It seems like the doll makers noticed this and tried to cover it up by making the "handkerchief" layers bigger and longer and spacing out their releases as the first and last dolls. The skirt portion of the dress came out looking messy and unresolved. The flowers and embroidery on the top layer don't extend onto the other tiers of the skirt; they don't even go all the way around, you can see where it stops from the front. Esmeraldas details were all throughout her skirt and all the way around. The second their of Rapunzel's skirt was also made too long and too flimsy. It doesn't seem to lay well if you take the doll out of the box unless you handle each section of it. Details Rapunzel's dress is known for like her long, sheer sleeves, corset, and lace are just missing from this design. The dress we got is purple, with striped puff sleeves, and gold embroidery that looks like an afterthought. The hair is definitely at odds with the design of the dress too. They should have braided the hair, with some of the hair covering her forehead, and added flowers to it, or just not have flowers on the dress and only in her hair. This is definitely the weakest design in this collection and possibly even the weakest limited edition 12inch doll the Disney Store has released to date. Right now, the 2011 Designer Rapunzel looks like something I'd rather see for her as part of this collection. This doll does, however, have potential to be very good. I bought it, not only, to complete the collection, but also for customization.

Her hair is just an odd choice. When you go to a big fancy party, you do SOMETHING with your hair, so it makes no sense thematically why Rapunzel would have her loose hair when she could have had braids and flowers to change up her hairstyle for a big party. Maybe they ran out of budget?

I got the entire collection other than this one. I can't stand the face and hair on Rapunzel! The dress I'm fine with but that face and hair is not cute in my opinion on the doll! They should have done flowers in her hair or something. I think the doll didn't translate well from his sketch! The drawing is beautiful as all of his art! I bought his other merch like the mugs and plates instead of the doll. Thanks for your review!

I actually don't like her face. This doesn't look like their Rapunzel for me at all. it looks like a very generic doll's face, and that's a shame. The rest is nice, but I wouldn't recognize her as Raps if I saw her without being previously identified.
