Poor Roger Taylor. Imagine being just a few hundred yards away, and your best friend's P.A. rang you, and said, "Don't bother coming, cos he's gone". That made me cry, with Roger Taylor.

It still would have been pointless. Someone dying of AIDS, especially in those days was a fraction of the shadow of their former healthier selves when drawing closer to death. I don't even think Freddie was able to communicate properly the last few weeks of his life. Scary disease and terribly sad loss.

Jim Hutton wrote about Freddie´s death " Freddie looked finally and totally in peace", " he was a picture of ecstasy","he looked radiant". I think it had been good for Roger to see Freddie , even if he was dead, in such a state. But they didn´t think about it.

yes and the media were sutch pigs towards him :(.In the end i think freddie would have prefered to live fast and die young rather then have to become old and limited.Because once you think that life isnt mutch more fun your life as you now it ends one way or the other.ps freddie was a party animal he lived for fun.

Queen are family. How many bands can say that, they are family, after 50 years ?. Not many bands can say that, that's for sure. Brian May, and Roger Taylor love talking about their lives, and times they shared with Freddie Mercury, and John Deacon. Queen are legendary. Even though, Freddie Mercury died, in 1991, and John Deacon retired, after the death of Freddie Mercury. Thank you, for your music, your memories, your humanity, your legacy, and your legend, Freddie Mercury, Brian May, Roger Taylor, and John Deacon, Queen.

Actually its trough misery that makes you find out if the people you call "friends" are actually friends or just selfish bastards who may deserve an Oscar for pretending so well to be a "friend". And the more horrible the misery the more clear that becomes. Now I don't envy Freddie for the fate he met, but I think that it *is* clear that the people who thought to be friends actually WERE friends who stayed with him as long as they could up to the very end. And most people can hardly imagine what it must have meant for him as only a few get into the situation they really get to know their friends. And if Freddie is to be envied for something during this horrible story, it's for having friends like that.

Sounds rather cold and callous to me. Imagine being informed your best friend had died, in that brusque manner. I'd have gone anyway just to say a last goodbye. My brother died earlier this year, my sister and I were going to visit him, we knew he hadn't got long to live. On the way the hospice phoned my sister to say he had passed away. If they had told her in the same way that Freestone told Roger we'd have been really angry and upset.

It's odd... i don't know if it's because i know about Freddie's death and all that, and the fact that during their last albums, he was ill and slowly dying... but when i hear songs like Miracle and Innuendo etc, from those last records, i hear a vibe that's very somber and it's almost like it has death written all over it. The songs, even the happy ones have this eerie sadness to them, it's almost engraved in Freddies voice.

Jai Gray, Freddie's death still hurts, even though, I was 8 years old, at the time he died, I will be 36 years old, later this year, in 2019, we will never, ever forget such a great man, musician, myth, and legend.

I want to give Brian , Roger and John a hug right now. And hopefully they know that Freddie is watching over them each and every second, and who knows maybe Freddie is waiting for them all so they can play Scrabble. And if they can see this ( hopefully Freddie can see too if they have youtube in Heaven ) I love you guys you are the best band in music history and the best people to ever exist.

Least of all Robbie himself he's just a flash fucking twat with a very high opinion of himself. He's a joke compared to Freddie Mercury who's legacy has lived on massively Robbie on the other hand well no one cares he hasn't had a hit in 10 years or more he's just some relic from the 90s Freddie's legacy is timeless!

"I was about 300 yards away from Freddie's house when my phone rang - don't bother coming... he's gone" I can't even imagine how Roger felt at that moment, just the thought of losing a brother, a friend, a family member, makes me teary I remember the music "Made in Heaven" and i just agree with it totally, Freddie was Made in Heaven, and his legacy will go on to the world last living moments Because for me, everyday listening to Queen makes me smile and remember that live is worth living it fully, just like Freddie did, he lived his live fully and happily #QueenLivesOn #FreddyMercury

They were truly brothers in arms, those three guys honoured Freddie's wishes until the very end which is what they knew he wanted as he was such a private guy and as usual the media showed zero respect for a guy that was dying and just wanted to be left alone to end his days with those he cared about, not the media and sticky noses but his bandmates and family.

Such an extraordinary man on so many levels. It's beautiful how he just wanted to spend the last of his life doing what he loved instead of letting people pity him, that just tells us how incredibly strong he was. Freddie Mercury was born to be on that stage. Most importantly the friendship between Freddie and the guys was so heartwarming, and if you ask me, those guys are legends for a reason.

Just cannot explain my feelings what I have after watching this video for the first time in my life, I never had courage to see it before. Its more than sad to see this and to hear, the part where the Freddie faced the camera for the last time for the video of '' those were the days'' made me cried and cried a lot and I am still crying. I cannot imagine a normal human can have such a strong will power that FREDDIE had, he knew he is on the doorstep of death but he still wanted to do music not for his own self but for his fans and for his lovers. This is the one of the main reason why I love him so much because he told life how to live, how to face worries and not minor worries but worries like death.
