Thanks. Obviously you need to send your coins off to NGC or a CONECA representative for verification. I think there's a video on using a specific gravity tests on your coins to determine approx metal content.

Hi Daniel is there a 1942 NMM pre October 8 1942 nickel struck on silver planchets? I'm having a hard time locating information on them I'm not sure if I'm maybe saying it incorrectly in my search. I've only seen a quick few seconds of a video on this device and the narrator only gave a tiny bit of information on identification. He only said it should weigh 4.70 gms. I know this isn't the place to ask . If you say yes this device exists I'll be post it on coin help you if you say no I'll move forward with my coin hunting. Thanks yes it no? Does it exist?

Have a 1938 Jefferson nickel with feeder finger damage and it destroyed the mint mark looks like a d mint mark but also could have signs of a d over s mint mark not sure tho but I've been looking at it every now and again trying to despypher the mint mark but it's so hard to tell with the feeder damage

I like your videos and you give good advice too. I just purchased an albums of Jefferson nickels 1938-1976 in BU? I've pulled a lot of coins out but the best one is à 1942 D copper with D over D rpm it's flawless I feel it will grade higher than ms+66+!! To bad I can't attach a picture it's the FS 027 one I also got 1940 D FS high grade and 2- black beauties 1954 & 1955
