Nice footage of Mike Tyson training and sparring for what looks like the Marvis Frazier fight.

At 17 , 18 , 19 teen ! Some of the best Genetics I ever seen. Peeka boo , shift & switches can't work without! Torres! Patterson! He finished it off with Tyson!!!!! D'AMATO WAS A VIOLENT DUDE! TO PUT TOGETHER A SYTLE THAT USES SPEED AND STRENGTH. Only a well built machine can master this style

What made him so great? His body structure and talent, his strength and structure, everything? Do you have to be born with it?

'85-'88 Mike. The closest I think we got to peak Tyson, blending some ring experience with mental toughness, youthful vigour, desire and physical maturity. His training up to the Frazier, Berbick and Spinks fights. That's the guy I would put in the ring with anyone, any era. The speed and movement of a middle-weight in that pitbull body. Like Cus said "if he stays committed and dedicated and free from distraction, he'll go down as the greatest we've ever had." Mike should have been the G.O.A.T. for sure, but it's hard. He was of college age when he became Heavyweight Champion of the World and the world is at your feet.

I, as many others believe, that If Cus would have meet Mike 10/20 years younger and stayed by his side the entire time he would have never been defeated. I believe that whole heartedly. It was the outside influences and glitz/glamour that got Mike, and I can't blame him having experienced my own problems with having a naturally addictive personality. It's like that one line in Conan the Barbarian, - "Wealth can be wonderful. But you know, success can test one's mettle as surely as the strongest adversary."
