I have a 2008 S60 as well with a stock exhaust - the engine sound inside is very similar between 3000-6000 RPM. Of course we aren't getting the pops, bangs and whistles, but the engine note is very, very similar.

This is an everyday occurrence for me, except for the extreme hard pulls... 195K on an unmolested stock motor and a 6 speed(compression and boost still top notch)...I love my R!

Had a 2006 s60r! Cat 2.5 exhaust & cold air intake! Car ripped! Went to a wedding & every car got hailed out! Sitting in the church listening the golf balls hit the roof you just clenched your cheeks & understood the relationship was over!

It came stock with the car! This car has the factory sport kit, so it comes with that lower rear valence, side skirts and front winglets (not on the car in the video)

I actually just got this one off amazon! The pin that holds the stock one in place and metal right above where the pin is actually broke off...😂 so I rented a tap and dye kit from Oreilly's and threaded the shifter and then got this shift knob off of amazon! I can't remember the brand but it is a weighted shift knob as well!

I have been hearing that these engines are sensitive to heat soak which can reduce power. I see this video was posted in July. Did you detect any degradation of power? 😁

Yes they can! It's really hard to say with this car...because it has all the upgrades to help it breath better. (Intake, bigger and better flowing intercooler, catless downpipes, full exhaust) I'm also driving above 4,500 ft above sea level, with a tune....but I have had 3 of these cars and can say this one I never really felt the heat soak in this one like I did in the other 2. Which were completely stock. Hope this helps 😂

I haven't had the car dyno'd but i'd guess around 320 at the wheels. it really depends price wise, the tune is a couple hundred, but to go stage 2 on these cars you need a bigger downpipe and full exhaust and an aftermarket intercooler. So I would say around $1k to $1200 to get an S60R to a stage 2!

Normally the car doesn't do that, but the car has a tune on it where in advanced mode above 3k RPM and you let off the gas it backfires like that!

Gotta love the peeling clear coat, the creaking/clunking front suspension, the cracked/disintegrating wiring harnesses, the paper thin leather interior, the finicky AWD system.
