Restoration of a very rusty french antique toy.
It's a DURIEZ truck by Jan VINOT from the 40's in very bad shape, abandoned, I thought about giving up several times...

As a Canadian, it is very interesting to see the European toys/vehicles. It was so amazing that you managed to get the clockwork mechanism working again -- it looked like it had rusted into one solid lump of corrosion.

Well done, sir. That metal was so rusted & thin I thought for sure it was going to disintegrate as you were working on it. And great job filling & sanding the pitting. A question: would it be easier to paint some of the parts before reassembling them? Not a criticism, just curious. Thanks!
