This may be my favourite episode to date, Gary, as there are so many digests I'd never previously seen! Interestingly, though, I have the Bell Novel edition of Homicide Johnny by Stephen Gould, who is, of course, better known as Steve Fisher. Even more interestingly, although the final page states that the book was 'Printed and Published by Bell Features & Publishing Co., Limited' from 'Toronto, Canada', the first page carries the text 'Pembertons Of Manchester, Ltd., Publishers' with the address '14 Lever Street, Manchester, England' and on the final page with the Bell printing and publication text it also states 'Sole Distributors World Distributors Incorporated' with the same address as Pembertons Of Manchester, Ltd. Although there is no UK price on my copy of Homicide Johnny, Bell Novels were distributed in the UK; so, I'll now be keeping an eye out for any more that turn up over here.

Hi, David, glad you liked the video, these are tough to find. I do not have that Bell novel, wish I did, must be pretty rare. I think many of the Canadian pbs were with UK or US editions first. Great to hear from you, hope all is well, cheers!

Hi Gary, My brother has a bigger collection of the Bell novels, two of which were written by Murray Leinster, The Blonde and the Outlaw and Cow Girl Fury. The Bell novels were published by Bell Features who had initially published things like Nelvana of the Northern Lights, Dart Daring and other Canadian black and white comic books.
