The only rare Disney character I saw in person a longtime ago back in 2006 (when I was only 7 years old as a kid) when I went to the Magic Kingdom theme park at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando (Lake Buena Vista) was Honest John. I used to have a photo of me with him, but I lost it somewhere in my room.

I'm surprised that Disney never brought back the Ducktales characters when the 2017 version was out, would be cool to see Scrogge, Hewey, Dewey, and Louie in their 2017 version designs, same with Webby and Launchpad, could have also had new walk arounds for 2017 Magica and Glomgold, along with new characters such as Mark Beaks and a few others from the 2017 Ducktales reboot, including Della Duck

This past summer powerline Max regularly made appearances with Goofy at Hollywood studios on the sidewalk across from Muppet courtyard. I cannot confirm if he still appearing but I'm surprised there wasn't an update for him.

The rare characters I saw is Br'er Rabbit, Br'er Bear, Br'er Fox at Animal Kingdom. now those characters are gone as well the Splash Mountain. It's great I got to meet them all at once.

All these characters Darkwing Duck, Launchpad McQuack, Scrooge McDuck, Huey, Louie, and Dewey, deserves the articulated treatment for promos, shows, some parades and events. However they need to use the articulated Panchito Pistols, Jóse Carioca heads more often other than "Mickey's Most Merriest Celebration" but when Zootopia area opens at Magic Kingdom this year, I hope they use articulated heads of Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde and used for often.

The Disney Afternoon was such a special thing. That whole era was great for TV animation with WB putting out amazing shows, too. My fave Disney Afternoon show was TaleSpin, with Rescue Rangers, DuckTales, and Goof Troop following. Also, whenever I drink a Pom pomegranate juice I think of Gummi Berry juice.

As much as the organised character meet and greet spots make sense, I remember when I was a kid at Disneyland Paris and you’d get so many now rare characters just wandering the park randomly. Frollo, Stromboli, the treasure planet characters.. That being said I would kill to see yzma irl. My favourite villain ever 😭

“Ping” should show up more often because Mulan is mostly Ping in the movie! I get her pink dress is pretty and more princess-like but her ping disguise or even her more casual green outfit would be nice to see more often And man it’s a dream of mine to meet Esmeralda, Quasimodo and Phoebus! Hunchback is one of my favorite Disney films and it feels so forgotten by Disney 😭

Of the characters discussed in this video I’ve met Stromboli, Scrooge McDuck, Chip and Dale as Rescue Rangers, Max Goof, and Goliath from Gargoyles. I’d absolutely love to meet The Three Little Pigs, all the Disney Afternoon characters, and while not on this list Roger Rabbit and Hyacinth Hippo one day! Also just so you know Kit Cloudkicker from TaleSpin appeared at the parks at one point.

I went to the Florida parks in 1992, the early 2000s, and around the 2010s. I vaugely remember some of the early meet and greets as a child (I was 5), and how the parks had changed from my first visit to the time we went when my baby sister turned 5.

would say my favorite disney afternoon shows were chip n dale,ducktales(nice seeing scrooge mcduck & ludwig von drake together.)/darkwing duck especially,timon & pumbaa,aladdin and gargoyles. emperor's new groove,the black cauldron,teenage mutant ninja turtles and definitely kingdom hearts(cool seeing mickey,donald & goofy in their outfits alongside being very sweet sora got to join in the fun,wish kairi & riku get added for kh4 just without face mask.)/the atlantis characters are my favorite of this(favorite being photos of mole causing mischief around the parks characters.) especially milo & kida together.(wish that film got more attention as it's my favorite of that era.:3)

You can also find pages about each of them on the Disney Wiki. However, despite owning the characters, they won’t do anything with them without checking with the people at Square Enix first, because they want to stay faithful to those characters.

I saw Powerline Max during the Boo to You! Parade at the 2023 Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in Walt Disney World towards the end of October when I went on 10/26 & 10/27 (I recorded the parade and show it if anyone's interested). Powerline Max's shades look different than the ones shown in this video. Also, I got a pic with normal Max Goof at Hollywood Studios during that same trip. Is he really considered rare?? 🤔 Granted, it was my first trip to the parks in a long time, but I'm skeptical.

The fact that Disney didn't make Esmeralda or Kida a princess always bothered me, when Kida was the first queen we ever got not Elsa. Mulan has no royal blood and doesn't marry into royalty but is still considered a Disney princess. I wonder if it's because Esmeralda is a gypsy and they still face heavy racism even in the modern day.
