Thank you so very very much. This part of the entire flight show is so rare as a twoship formation of the 35 has not flown in decades. More amazing is that they do a simultaneous start. This clip is already a gem in the entire youtube collection. I hope more people discover this clip. Once again, THANK YOU!

Man thank you very much for your kind comment! Just recently I started to think that, in order for the jet heritage to live into the future, stuff like this has to make its way out in the public. So it may never be forgotten :)

In 1957 Sweden had the world's fourth most powerful air force, with about 1000 modern planes in front-line service, and eventually the first in the world with only jets. The decision to invest in strong air combat forces also meant that the domestic manufacture of planes increased greatly.

When I was a kid in the early 70's I was in a Revell monthly plastic model club. To my great surprise when a Draken showed up in my mail one weekend. Those things looked Sci Fi from the onset and turns out they were Insanely capable Multirole Interceptors/Fighters.

I love this! Sound is fantastic. What settings did you use? I'll be seeing the Draken in just over 3 days from now. I had to sub to you just after seeing these batmobile looking jets. Great footage!

In the Gripen video I recorded too low. I used the -10 dB setting on the microphone and too low gain in the cameras onboard settings. For these videos I used the +20 dB setting and very low gain in the camera which eliminated a lot of noise when I took up the volumes in my editing program on the computer. The Rode Stereo VideoMic Pro is quite sparse with the bass frequencies so I had to boost those in post production of these videos in order to bring back that "real life" feeling to the sound :) In the Canon HF G50 I used between 13-15 in audio gain level depending on what air craft it was. The F-18 is amazingly loud so I turned that one down a little. The Draken, Lansen and Viggen is a bit quiter and not that violent sounding so I could use a little higher gain on those :) But everything is really just to give headroom so it DOESN'T clip. If it reaches the 0 dB mark on the meter during a hard pass just turn down the gain as fast as you can. You can crank up the volume again in post production! :) Good luck man, and thank you VERY much for subscribing. Much love to my aviation fam! =D

@@MaxAviationVideos thank you very much! I also have the rode, I know what you mean about bass pickup, the main thing I record with it is thunder, and it needs a lot of post production lol. I'll be using the +20dB option and low gain, thanks for the heads up! I think the Typhoon is just as loud as the F18, always makes my ears ring for hours after I see it. Definitely low gain needed there

@@Tstorms Yea the Typhoon is ungodly loud aswell. Saw it for the first time last year in Denmark, sad I didn't had my gear back then :(

@@MaxAviationVideos Typhoon is as loud, or a bit louder than the hornet in my opinion. I'll have to bring an spl meter to the next airshow to know for sure lol
