Yes! I live in Riverside and regularly surf this place on the weekend! I surf Wavestorms pretty much exclusively and have had a lot of success here. Bringing the entire fam next weekend and hope to see you there!

Quick update to the Lunada Bay Big Wave Challenge. We are currently working with the city in regards permits for both the contest and parking. It is our intention to have these permits obtained by the end of August. Providing we are successful with the permits we will then announce the invitees. If all goes well the contest waiting period will begin on December 15, 2024 and go to March 1, 2025.

I'm proud you did this. I tried to surf there one double over head glassy day and they said "you may not want to because of... another guy" Such is life until someone comes and breaks the spell. If they opened it up it would suck. They close it off and it sucks, for everybody except them. Could we collectively agree to a code? Could there be consequences for bad behavior? Could there be a limit to how many people go out? I don't know. What it became with localism simply makes sense due to the massive population of surfers nearby that would cause havoc. I'm on the outside but I get it. It's a diamond mine
