Aloha, mate! I haven't been on here in months; I got hurt and almost lost my arm (conveyor belt+bone infection). Had to get rid of the last of my stock...going through extreme poverty, and though I kept my arm and hand, my hand is now a claw that only partially works. It has been really hard. Anyway, Bichir are related to sturgeons! Wild, yeah? They don't look alike at all. I bought a wee sterlet (the smallest sturgeon you can get!) years ago, researched them, and found the Bichir info. I was expecting to see that sturgeons are a cartilage based fish that is related to sharks and rays. Nooooope. Sure ain't. Sure are closely related to Bichir. Like, okay, there, God. Good on ya'! Anyways, great show as always. You're such a happy and positive dude- it's hard to be depressed tunin' in. I dig the enthusiasm, and that you name your fish. I always did...a lot of folks don't! I know, right?! No pets for me until who knows when, so watching channels like this is now my fishkeeping. I can't use my hand again unless I get this complicated and risky surgery that I can't afford at all (lost my job from all this, too). I'll be lucky to not end up homeless. Maybe I'll build a boat and sail around the world, just because it's round. 33 and a 3rd, like Bradley Nowell said. Have a great day, buddy, and 🙏 thank you.🐟🐠🐡

Unfortunately, its not an ornate... the ornate bichirs are black with red and yellow. That's probably a delhezi, or maybe a saddled. Delhezi would look like an over bite and saddled would look like they have an under bite. still super cool. Bichirs are my favorite! And they love tilapia filets. Those massive pellets can get expensive...
@aarondavis8224Күн бұрын
I was thinking Endlicheri but could be a Delhezi
@viperfanatic13Күн бұрын
@aarondavis8224 it's hard to tell with this video, and it looks like there might be a little sore on the mouth, so you can't really tell if it's an upper or lower jaw species to know for sure...

@@HaYNFishKeeper I just took a quick look and the one you called an ornate definitely looks like an endi to me, is it the same one you showed eating a pellet? Just an FYI Endis get around 24” sometimes bigger, dels are around 10-14”
