They shipped in guppies from all over the world for this event and they were beautiful! The 2019 Florida Fancy Guppy Club Annual Show and Fish Auction was a blast. It was my first ever show and now I'm hooked. I may or may not have come home with 10 (yes 10!) different strains if guppies. I met so many new fish friends and can't wait to attend next year's event. There are only a few times a year you can get to see and buy guppies of VERY good quality. I would much rather buy quality guppies this way than through the mail. I was talking to a guy at the Aquatic Experience and he was letting me about a 4 day event on the east coast in Coral springs that's being put on by the American Livebearer Association. They visit fish farms, they have vendors, Auctions & the spend a day COLLECTING. This sounds like a trip I need to make.

I have never heard of the Florida fancy guppy club until a few days before the event, maybe there are some around you haven’t heard of? If not, I know it’s not exactly the same, but maybe join some online groups

Your video of the event was just as good as the event itself. I’m not a bird person, but I think I liked the birds more than the fish. And who doesn’t like to watch horses?! That event is worth to traveling across the country to attend . Oh, and those were some beautiful guppies.

Thanks for the vid. So envious of you just for getting to go. Let alone the hosts, have all the space/$$$ for such a set-up (less the birds n horses, hehe). I don't know how the video-making world works but may I suggest (if its within your grasp($$$)) some kind of microphone for the important people in your vid's. I.E. when the host was giving the tours I couldn't hear much of anything. I'm thinking something like guests wear on talk shows etc. Maybe set up a GoFundMe for the purchase price of such a rig.

I’m Definitely very lucky and grateful to have been able to go and have these type of events near me. You are 100% right, the audio wasn’t the best. I do have a lapel microphone I use for planned interviews (which helps but still isn’t the best depending on the background audio conditions, usually fish room air pumps). In this case I was just one of many people enjoying the event and did not want to bother anyone for an interview so just picked up bits here and there. I eventually do want to invest in some nicer microphones, dual and cordless. I will probably just save up though, don’t think I’ll ever do a go fund me. Appreciate you checking out the video!

Eric That breeder had a few bags for sale in the auction just labeled “breeding group”. I ended up buying one of his bags, they have the dumbo ear trait for sure but not sure they are any specific strain
