The mad science of air filtration! Even in my small fish room I had challenges. I ran 1/2" pvc pipe and now wish I had done at least 3/4" to get better pressure.

It is crazy and so many variables!!

These videos are really helping me during quarantine. I'm local to you and hoping to someday tour your Fish Cave (and take some stock home with me), but while we're waiting for the virus to settle down, I love watching these videos.

Very nice video,got to meet Cory and his wife at the last Aquatic Experience they are as nice and down to earth in person as they appear to be in videos. Speaking of meeting people from U Tube are you ever going to be up in your old stomping grounds? Would enjoy talking with you and maybe you could meet my friend Carter at my LFS an other pleco person!

No plans as of now but if I do I’ll definitely let you know

Being as the output on the pump is only 5/8 your losing pressure by going up to 1" I've found 3/4 works better sticking with 5/8 would be even more ideal but good luck finding that. I'm running a single lph80 with 75 outlets most of which are in deep tanks and I'm still bleeding off id guess 30% of my air. May be time to upgrade to a single better pump too.

Nicely done Ryan. Curious, do the pumps have to be at a higher elevation for best performance?
@WildFishTanks4 жыл бұрын
I’m not sure it improves performance but you always want any air pump above the tank/s if possible. Will help prevent any backflow of water into the pump

Im starting the build on a fish wall but I am long term thinking it’s going to be a room. So I bought enough pvc to air the entire four walls. My question is while it’s just a wall do I still make it a complete loop or cap it off until I decide to go bigger?

I have the opposite problem, I have the Jehmco LPH120, I have too much air, I have to downgrade.

Garbage pumps get a bigger pump with less energy consumption lol. Save on energy bills.
@WildFishTanks4 жыл бұрын
45 watts is a lot of energy to power 30-40 tanks?
@johnnormandia7584 жыл бұрын
No offense, you need to tidy up your fishroom.
@WildFishTanks4 жыл бұрын
None taken. It’s a working fish room, I clean up from time to time and may one day run a crispy clean fish room but for now it’s low on the priority list. I’ve been to many fish rooms and farms that are far less tidy

Hey Ryan check your email... (wildfish...) I sent an email for some fish you may want for free that I’m getting rid of.
