Not even three days after watching this video and one of my tanks got something in it. I saw shrimp zooming and sinking upside down. I threw a handful of charcoal in all of my tanks to be safe. The shrimp in the contaminated tank recovered in about a minute. I can’t thank you enough for posting this video! Cheers.

What the Hell Dude🤣🙈 Apologies, let me start at the beginning. YT and its infinite wisdom, by dropping strange randoms onto your feed now and again. Most of the time they are filed as WTF. Once in a blue moon, they slip up some how and drop a gem. So I read the description to your video, shrimp (I'm now interested) Master Breeder with Full House Tour (You now have my full undivided attention) I click play. What a great video, definitely one of the best I have seen in a long time. As a photog myself, after many a year of capturing the moment in time. I'm still my worst critic. If you asked me, 'which is my best pic'. My default reply has always been, 'The one I'm taking tomorrow'. Your video let me in on your creative style and technique with passion and drive, how it all flowed together. Most others would have just made the video of, Master Grant and His Full House Tour. You Sir, with your skill. Made it into a story. Thank You. I look forward to watching all of your other videos.

Very nice shrimp 🦐! Getting ready 6 to 12 inches of snow ❄️ tonight into tomorrow night,upstate NY. Question my super red short/ long fin breeding has taken of like I can’t believe. So should I stick with bristle nose ( already have some different colors) or getting into fancy? Stores take all I make and ask for more. Most people will pay for a bristle nose don’t know if they could sell enough fancy ones or not.
@WildFishTanks2 жыл бұрын
I think there is still probably a couple years left to make money breeding super reds and the like, especially Longfin. If you get into fancier L numbers I would just recommend not getting into the super pricey ones as demand is lower like you said

Kinda of seems like a conflict of interest if the guy running the shrimp contest and the guy who won the shrimp contest are also business collaborators in selling those very same shrimp no?
@WildFishTanks2 жыл бұрын
The shrimp I entered the contest with I originally purchased in 2019 at the Florida fancy guppy show in Ocala from a guy named Devin out of north Florida. I bred them with a strain I had purchased from a local friend Chris a few years before. This is all well documented on my social media. The only shrimp I’ve ever gotten from Grant were blue last year. I also don’t make any money when someone buys shrimp from Grant and don’t even really sell shrimp myself (been sold out on my website for months since I’ve been focusing on producing other things). That being said I understand the poor timing of me uploading the video and then winning the contest. I can’t take back the timeline but I also won’t lose any sleep tonight.
@jeff2oliva42 жыл бұрын
@@WildFishTanks I wasn't referring to specifically selling those shrimp, just that doing a video together is beneficial for both parties involved, both financially and in building a reputation. I'm not questioning your shrimp or your legitimacy in the contest. Just the ethical implications of collaborating on KZbin.
@WildFishTanks2 жыл бұрын
@@jeff2oliva4 I agree the optics aren’t the best. When I filmed this with Grant months ago the last thing on my mind was how doing a video collab would look after winning a shrimp contest I didn’t even know I was going to enter yet. No shrimp that he’s selling won the contest and I’m not selling any so the financial gain from the video collab is my KZbin ad revenue and him getting more exposure/sales from viewers liking his shrimp in the video. Both of which would have happened without the shrimp contest. I do videos highlighting fish rooms and I agree the timing on this one was poor in retrospect given the outcome of the contest
