So interesting to hear those norweigian pronunciations spoken. I've seen them written but it's hard to know what they sound like. My mare has the cheek marks and the shoulder stripes also :)

😁👍 Shoulder stripes are cool and rare -none of mine really have them!

I have always wondered what genetic composition you need to get a Chance of a yellow dun horse. Do you know? I believe Red dun and a brightening gene?

The gene that makes a horse white dun or red dun is called the cream gene. This gene lightens red pigment, and therefore is not visible on gray Fjord horses. A brown dun horse with the cream gene will become white dun, and a red dun horse with the cream gene will become yellow dun. This gene cannot skip a generation or be hidden (except on gray Fjord horses), so for a horse to become yellow dun, white dun, or gray with hidden cream gene, one of the parents must have this gene. A horse with the cream gene will statistically pass this on to 50% of its offspring 😊
