Nice list; i'd have Mingus Ah-um at the top followed by Black Saint. No Sketches or Out of the Cool either?

Mission accomplished, I already have all the vinyl containing these melodies.

Good sounding ones? Dol and jazz images labels doesn't count, i only own 3 of 10

@@nacho7742 Hi Bro! Yeap!. However, I discovered the truth of DOL brand after having bought several of them. Now the DOL vinyls rest in peace in the attic, never to be heard.

Great list, but it's hard for me to consider anything other than A Love Supreme to be Coltrane's masterpiece.

Yeah--difficult to cram a Top Ten, unless you go with a straight up subjective tilt towards your liking ...

It's hard to come up with a list of 10 albums for jazz man. Most of these guys put out multiple albums a year, and nearly all of them were utterly sublime!

There’s no depth or reason and he skipped half the songs and showed little to no reason why they were there

Please don't use the word "jazz" for Bitches Brew. It' s more than that.

Teo Macero once told me that Miles said, "You ruined my record."

Jeez, Clifford Brown gets no love. "At Basin Street" with Sonny Rollins, are you kidding me? I notice none of these lists mention Brownie. He was a better trumpet player than Miles, for sure.

When Clifford Benjamin "Brownie" Brown, Sr. was on stage, Miles didn't go anywhere near it, PERIOD!!! My family tree were historians!
@brucescott4261Ай бұрын
...You are absolutely correct, Howard!!! Miles Dewey Davis III couldn't touch Birks, Maggie, Fat Girl, Brownie, K.D., Booker, Mogie, Hub, Art, Conte, Pete, Shorty, Quincy, et al. Even Chet had a very light, soft tone. However, Brownie was was at the peak of his career when he left us. As a teenage, Mogie (Edward Lee Morgan) cut Miles, PERIOD!!!
